Team Coordinator and a Lead Team Coordinator Responsibilities
Team Coordinator – The Team Coordinator has overall responsibility for all team related support activities. He/she delegates and coordinates the participation of the parents in the responsibilities to include but not limited to: * scorekeeping, * field maintenance, * team web page, uniform distribution, snack/drink schedule, optional end-of-season party/awards, Braves day ticket sales, Opening Day information and support, Team Picture Day information. Team Coordinator receives league information and is responsible for disseminating the information. He/she should also ensure that all team volunteers visibly display a PTCLL issued photo ID indicating that they have cleared a background check. To be a Team Coordinator, a background check is required annually as is the wearing of a PTCLL issued photo ID badge.
* Coordinating Scorekeepers –The home team is responsible for maintaining the Official game book. Visiting team is responsible for the electronic scoreboard, if used.
* Field Maintenance – The home team is responsible for preparing the fields for games. Manager/Coaches should not have to do this activity and also do pre-game activities with the team. The designated parents arrive a minimum of 30 min. prior to the game to line/rake the field. The visiting team playing the last practice/game of the day on the field is responsible for post game maintenance on that field as well as turning off lights and putting away score boxes.
* Team Web Page – At the PTCLL Web Site (www.ptcll.com) teams can establish a web page for the purpose of communication within the team. Training can be arranged to assist Team “Web Masters” in establishing the team page.
Lead Team Coordinator – Each Division has one Lead Team Coordinator for the primary purposes of support and communication to and from the league. Lead Team Coordinators assist in training Team Coordinators, distributing manuals and necessary materials and disseminating information. A Lead Team Coordinator is a direct support and administrative assistant to the Commissioner of (her) Division. Lead Team Coordinators meet once a month and act as a direct support to any and all committees requiring assistance. A Lead Team Coordinator must have served as a Team Coordinator for at least one season, including All-Stars, and must belong to the Division in which he or she is the Lead. Lead Team Coordinators are expected to enforce the wearing of PTCLL issued photo ID’s by all team volunteers indicating their having cleared their background check. An annual background check is required as is the wearing of a PTCLL issued photo ID.
