About Nominee Danny George:
He does an excellent job developing his players' baseball skill, but most importantly, he also develops their character as young men and competitors...teaches the boys to respect each other...shows the boys respect and compassion...is firm, fair, genuine...goes above and beyond for our boys and the league...exhibits good sportsmanship..love for the game as well as for each of the boys who play for him...one of the most dedicated people I know...patient...teaching lessons in baseball and in life..."fits the glove of Coach of the Year"...incredible job of teaching, coaching and bringing out the best...high expectations, demands their best, and the boys absolutely love him and are having a great time playing...created an environment on the team that fosters respect, hard work and a love of the game...has shown the boys how to be gracious in winning and in defeat...taught what it means to play your best, play as a team and have fun doing it...My favorite quote of Danny's is, "Practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent."...hard work, dedication...tremendous effort...treats all the kids on the team like they are his own...sees the value and talent of each player...is respectful and has fun.
About Nominee Rob Norton :
Rob Norton is a class act..unselfishly spends a great deal of time...insure(s) a quality experience for all involved...a gentleman on the field...the one (coach) I enjoy competing with...is great for PTCLL...really great coach...awesome with the kids...children learn a lot and improve as players...very supportive...teaches the game and most important, sportsmanship...an excellent coach...special coach...teaches fundamentals of the game...never loses touch with the fact that these are young boys who also need to have fun...firm when needed...caring, sympathetic...all the kids on the team feel comfortable...he gives it 100%...such a fine man has devoted most of his free time to making this organization a better one...quiet, reserved and EFFECTIVE.
About Nominee Joe Kuebler:
An excellent example of what it mean to be a coach in Little League...never forgets that the word "Little" comes before "League"...each child given the chance to grow and learn in the various positions in baseball...understands the joys and sorrows that can come (to the players) in each game...understands that each child is learning to be a part of a team...knows that both adults and children like to win, but that it is how you handle the losses that makes you a complete person...understands what makes 11/12 yr. olds tick...does the job extremely well.
About Nominee Gene Drake :
Gene patiently dedicates his time and energy...helps the players learn and enjoy the game of baseball...he does it for the kids...just as Marty always did.
About Nominee Ronnie Eulenfeld :
He is always positive...always makes us feel better when we make bad plays or do something wrong...keeps us straight...a lot of positive energy...fun.
About Nominee Rick Ferguson :
Totally dedicated to his boys on the team and the game of baseball...communication skills and habits are top notch...walks the line between teaching (baseball) and being relaxed with them...knows baseball and communicates it to "his" boys.
About Nominee Jim Lewis :
An excellent coach and puts in a lot of extra time with the boys...never heard him be harsh with the kids...is always positive and fair...new and unique ideas to inspire.
About Nominee Mike O'Brien :
Fantastic with the 5-6 yr olds...holds their attention...fun for the kids...positive reinforcement.
