After four days of fierce competition, the Titans Basketball Club-Girls 6th grade team won the Primetime Sports National Championship in Dallas, TX. The Titans went 8-0 in the tournament and defeated the tough North Little Rock Comets 52-43 in the championship game. The Titans defeated teams from all over the country including teams from Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Arkansas.
The Girls 6th grade team is made up of A. Hyder, J. Griffin, A. Booth, J. Moguel, A. Shead, E. Gerwels, D. Lofton, A. Rodriquez, J. Wade, O. Latorre, A. Echols, S. Rodriquez, and B. Wagner. They are coached by Mia Williams and Shannon Griffin and represent the cities of Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Manor, Leander, Lockhart and Bastrop.
"We are all very proud of these young ladies. Going 38-0 for the season and winning a National Championship is a special accomplishment.” Titans Director, Terence McCrea, said. “It was truly heart warming to look into the stands and witness a sea of 70+ supporters dancing and cheering the players on to victory.”
