Spectators Code of Conduct
Spectator's Code of Conduct Ice Hockey is a fast paced, technical, challenging sport. However, at the amateur level it is only a game and should be viewed as only a game.
Spectators can contribute to the quality of a game or they can ruin it. Good sportsmanship and proper conduct on the part of spectators involves support and enthusiasm for their respective teams. Derogatory comments directed at officials and opposing teams are unnecessary and have no place in amateur sports.
In order to provide a guideline for spectator behavior, the following Code of Conduct is established and accepted by Mid-States Hockey Association and St. Louis County Department of Parks & Recreation.
1. Spectators are permitted to watch a game from designated seating area only. Areas may be designated as "Off Limits to Spectators." In this case, house rules of access prevail.
2. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not allowed in the spectator areas of the arena.
3. Use of profanity is unacceptable.
4. Spectators may not climb on or cling to the dasher boards.
5. Objects are not to be thrown on the ice.
6. Temporary banners, place cards, or signs may not be posted except on walls prior to a game. None may be paraded.
Failure to adhere to the above code of conduct will result in the spectator's removal from the arena by Mid-States Hockey Association or its agent.
