PSC LIGHTNING
Welcome to the Parville Soccer Club Lightning U13 Girls Premier team site. Our team is made up of 15 young ladies with a passion for the game of soccer.
We will be participating in Philadelphia Area Girls Soccer (Premiership Division) for the Fall 2008 season. You can also find us at ScrimmageFest, Gettysburg Battlefield Blast, WAGS Tournament, Maryland State Cup, and Bethesda Thanksgiving Tournament during the fall of 2008. Every attempt will be made to keep this site with the most updated information. You can click on one of the links to the left to find when and where we will be playing or our most recent match results. See you on the pitch.

The girls took their game to Gettysburg for the annual Battlefield Blast. The field started out with 24 teams in all. Round robin matches were played to decide which bracket each team belonged in. The girls were sent to the highest of the three brackets. The quarter final match ended as a 2-0 win over the Winchester United 95' team from VA. The semi-final match was hard fought by both teams. The Lightning came back from a 1-0 deficit with some quality saves from Alexis, the goalkeeper, and sunk 2 unanswered goals for the victory over the WCUSC Predators out of West Chester, PA. The girls found themselves knotted 0-0 at halftime of the finals vs. the Forrest Hill Force, a local area team from MD. They came out in the second half to score 5 goals in the first twelve minutes. The Force came back with two of their own, but it was too late. The Lightning captured the Championship with a 5-2 victory.
Friday, August 15
The Lightning have been accepted into the 2008 WAGS Tournament. This event draws some of the top girls teams in the nation. The tournament will be held during Columbus Day Weekend in southern VA. The girls are excited to attend.
Sunday, August 10
The girls faced 4 quality opponents in SAC Premier, GHSC Piranhas, Freedom Revolution, and the OBGC Cyclones at the annual ScrimmageFest gathering held by the Freedom Soccer Club. This set up is designed to get the teams ready for the upcoming Fall season. The Lightning went 3-1 in four matches. We would like to thank Julia, Hannah, and Leah from our sister team (PSC Eagles) for helping out. Four of our girls were away on vacation for this event leaving us shorthanded. GREAT JOB LIGHTNING!!!
