PRIDE 15 Elite returns from Kentucky!!

Northern PRIDE 15's played in Louisville Kentucky om June 27- 30 for National competition!!  They competed with some of the best teams in their division and finished the week with a 4-7 record.  They all played hard and really had a chance to play at the toughest level.  Everyone made some great memories!!!

In our eighth season PRIDE has established quality teams that raise a players IQ and prepare them to play at a very competitive level of volleyball.   PRIDE players are taught the qualities needed to be successful not only on the volleyball court but throughout life!!.

PRIDE teams train to allow players to achieve the highest level of success possible.   PRIDE alumni moved on to play at a National Championship level.

On-line Registration It is now very easy to register on-line for try outs and clubs.
Go to www.signuptoplay and register for junior member try outs and the clubs of your choice.
           

*****No athlete will be allowed to try out without all paper work filled out and signed by a parent.
Forms needed to try out: medical release form, USA membership form which are available on the Badger Region web site or at signuptoplay or on site the day of try outs.

WHO:Any female volleyball player ages 10-18


WHEN:Parent / player informational meeting Wed. Oct. 21, 2009  7 pm Merrill High School Cafeteria (use door #22)

OPEN GYMS FOR TRY OUT PRACTICE:   Sundays Nov. 1 & 8th will be open gym practice for try outs from 4-6 pm @ MHS.

NEW in 2010-  ELITE team committment will be 2 nights of practice per week. 

ELITE TEAMS:  ELITE teams are the highest level of players in each age group. ELITE teams will have additional travel to compete at higher levels of play.   Elite teams practice 2 times per week.  There may not be an ELITE team at each age level.  Athletes who want to play at a Collegiate level and are fully committed to the highest level of volleyball. 

CLUB TEAMS: are players who love the game and want to improve their skills through competitive experiences closer to home with less travel.  Club teams will only practice one day per week.  Great choice for the multiple sports athlete.


ELITE Team TRY OUTS: Sat. Nov. 14th 6:30-9:00 PM     Elite teams play a more competitive schedule which requires more travel and may have an extended season.  Elite teams practice 2 times per week.  DO NOT try out if your not able to practice 2 times per week.
CLUB Team Try-outs: Sun. Nov. 15 at MHS Fieldhouse -all ages 1- 3 pm.   Try out fee $20.00 per player, USA forms and parent signature required. -fee is good for both time slots. Registration table open at 12:30 pm.
COACHING STAFF: All Pride Club coaches are certified by the Badger region (USVBA) as well as trained in the game of volleyball as coaches, players or experienced volunteers. Pride Club will provide team concepts, skill development and knowledge of the game. The coaches will help to prepare your daughter for a competitive level of volleyball.

Offers will be sent out to players by Nov. 16th. Players have until Nov. 25 to accept or the position will be offered to another player. All players and parents will be asked to sign a contract with Northern Pride to confirm your committment to the program.
PRACTICES: Practices will be held at MHS on Sundays at MHS. Sunday practices are held between 1-6 pm. Weekends you compete there may not be a required practice.  Coaches may add practices based on player availabiltiy.

DUES: The cost for the players is based on 8-10 players per team. 12 and under teams will play a modified schedule and will have play dates with other clubs are a low fee.  Club teams will play in 5-6 tournaments locally, if a team deceides to play more tournaments the cost will be divided between the players.  ELITE teams will play higher levels and tournaments will be at the coaches and team discretion. All tournament entry fees for ELITE teams will be divided between the number of athletes.    Please do not let financial hardship be the reason for not playing, the club does have fund raiser opportunities.

Club dues will cover, but not limited to: Badger region certifications, coaches expenses, balls, uniforms, tournament entry fees, USVBA player registration fees. Team fees for 12 and under are $200-$350.00. Team fees(club or elite) per athlete range $400-$800 for ages 13 and up.   Half of the team fee(computed on scheduling night) is due at the first practice and parent meeting Nov. 30th , the balance by Jan.1, 2009. All travel and overnight expenses are covered by the players and families. Tournament selection meeting, equipment ordering, first half of dues and fund raiser opportunities will be presented at the team / parent meeting on Sunday Nov. 28,2009 6 pm, following the first practice.
