Women's Varsity Double
Congratulations to our Varsity Double on a spectacular season! Junior stroke seat Jackie Lees & senior bow seat Jeanine Lees finished up their season this past weekend in Cinncinnatti with a Bronze medal in the US Rowing Youth National Championships! The girls went up against the best competition from clubs across the country and represented themselves, Prendie, and the Philadelphia Rowing community proudly. They add this medal to golds at Philadelphia City Championships, Upper Merion Invitational, and SRA Nationals and a silver at Stotesbury to complete one of the most successful seasons in Prendie history. Jeanine will continue her career at Temple University & Jackie will return for her senior season at Prendie. Special thanks to their father, Jack Lees, and Coach Mascitelli for making the trip to Cinncinnatti and to Coach Trotter for working with the girls this spring.

2009 Nationals Update
Congratulations to Jackie Lees and Jeanine Lees for their Nationals win in the Women's Varsity Double. Additionally, we would like to congratulate all of the Prendie rowers who fought their way in to the championship regatta. We certainly had some bad luck to say the least but the experience will last a lifetime. Your coaches are incredibly proud of all of you and your accomplishments this season.

Robert White Foundation
Prendie Crew is pleased to announce that the Robert C. White Trust Foundation has once again extended a very generous grant to the Prendie and rowing program in the amount of $4,000.00. All those associated with Prendie Crew are very thankful to the Foundation for this gracious gift and for continuing to support youth rowing in our area.

Individual Oars for Sale
Looking for a unique gift for your son or daughter who is graduating high school or college to remember their years of rowing? Have a bar in your basement that could use some decoration? Want to give a gift to Mom or Dad for driving you to practice all of those early mornings? Prendie Crew is selling some of its oars to individuals. They are currently painted Prendie's colors but can easily be painted Bonner green or whatever color you want! They can be personalized or left as is. Each oar is about 9 feet long & hangs easliy from any ceiling or wall. We are asking $150 for each oar. Please contact Coach Pat McDonnell(patm@wcmechanical.com) for details--they will not last long!

Prendie Crew is seeking your help !!!!!
Prendie Crew is actively seeking donations to help us upgrade our equipment. We are still racing in boats that are older than the girls rowing in them. We need to make an appeal to all former rowers, rower families, friends, and anyone interested in helping us. Your help in any way would be greatly appreciated. An online pledge can be made at the web link above by just clicking on the underlined heading for this item, or checks mailed to Prendie Rowing Association at P.O. Box 72, Drexel Hill, PA 19026 will help us meet our goal of $42,000. We are currently about one quarter of the way toward that goal.
