PREMIER is excited to announce our roster for the 2008 - 2009 season: Alley, Holly, Sami, Dani, Sophie, Darcy, Katie, Lauren, Allyson, Kyra, Liz, Marisa, and Skylar. We want to extend a thanks to all the girls and parents that came out to our tryouts and open practices. It was a very tough decision.
Denise Lorenzi and Pat Daley have agreed to join our coaching staff. Denise has coached club ball through the 18U level and most recently comes from the AZ Ice 18U coaching staff. Pat Daley has several years experience coaching 16U and 18U and has coached with Denise on former Tornado and Premier teams. Their combined experience, knowledge of higher level competitive teams, and commitment to Premier without having a daughter on the team will help us reach our preseason goals.
PRACTICE AND GAME SCHEDULE
Please check the Calendar section for our practice and game schedule. Tuesday / Thursday practice times to be determined based on field availablity and lights. Be at the double header games 45 minutes early and 1 hour before weekend tournament games for warm ups.
HISTORY
We are a girls fastpitch softball team made up of players from throughout the valley. We compete in tournaments through TCS, USSSA, ASA and the City of Phoenix. Our goal is to be competitive, have fun, and provide the girls with the skills required to advance on their high school teams and get recognized by college coaches.
The team was originally made up of All Stars from the Paradise Valley Girls Softball League (PVGSL). In the Fall of 2007, we accepted an invitation to join their PREMIER organization of club teams. As such, we now qualify as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
Following the sucess of the Premier 14U teams, we added the 16U team for those girls moving up. We intend to travel for the right opportunities and attend a national tournament and showcase events. Please call Mitch Gens at 480-229-8787 or send email to premiersoftball@cox.net for more information.
