Canes make it to Semi-finals in Elgin!
Once again good defense, very good pitching and great hitting were on display this weekend for the Canes. Unfortunately they didn't have enough in the semi's against a scrappy Elmwood Park team. Kaity and Bri pitched extremely well all weekend as always and the team hit .367 for the weekend. Hitting over .333 for the weekend were: Taylor K, Aly, Megan, Shannon, Taylor D, Kaity, Caitlin and Kiley. Nice tournament ladies!
Canes take second in Bartlett!
Another solid tournament where everything clicked for the Canes. Solid defense, very strong pitching by Kaity and Bri and a team batting average of .361. Leading the way hitting were Jamie, Nicole, Taylor K, Aly, Kelcey, Shannon, Taylor D and Kaity all hitting over .385 for the weekend. Nice job ladies!
Canes play well in Bloomingdale!
If you look at the stats, .750 winning percentage, .366 team batting average and 1.35 ERA you think the Canes won the tournament. A tough 1 - 0 loss in the second round of bracket play sent us home disappointed. Another solid defensive effort, Kaity and Bri pitching well and great team hitting were on display this weekend. Leading the way hitting were Jamie, Nicole, Taylor K, Taylor D, Kaity and Kiley all hitting over .350. Nice job ladies!
Canes take second at Storm Dayz!
The bats came alive in Sycamore, combine that with strong pitching from Kaity and superb defense by all was a recipe for a winning tournament. The team hit a combined .335, leading the way were Jamie, Taylor K, Aly, Megan, Shannon, Kiley, Bri and Corinne all hitting over .300. Nice job ladies!
Canes make it to semi-finals in Glen Ellyn!
Pitching and defense again carried the Canes to there third semi-final in 3 tournaments. Kaity was very strong on the mound with great support in the field by all. Leading the hitting parade were Jamie, Aly, Shannon and Kaity. Nice job ladies!

Hurricanes come in second at Comets Classic!
The Hurricanes had a good weekend in St.Charles taking second place in the Comets Classic. Outstanding Pitching and defense set the tone for this tournament. Kaity and Bri were great on the mound and the defense, led by Kiley was simply awesome. The bats were a little off but having a nice weekend were Jamie, Taylor K and Taylor D. Nice job ladies!
Canes make it to Semi-Finals!
Not a bad first tournament, if it wasn't for a coaches blunder who knows what might have happened. We made it to the semi-finals behind some nice hitting by Aly, Kelcey, Shannon and Taylor D, great defense by all and nice pitching by Brianna. The coach didn't pay attention to the board and failed to show up for the semi-final game so the tournament was over. Nice job ladies!
