Tournaments.  The latest tournament schedule for the boys can be found on the Team Schedules link in the left sidebar.  Our goal is to participate in boys tournaments in the puget sound region, possibly Spokane and Oregon, and in BC Canada.  Players must have passports to travel into Canada.  Since there are not many boy's volleyball tournaments in the puget sound region, our boys U18 volleyball team will also play in local men's BB/B tournaments.  Here's a video of our Spokane trip in May 2012

League Information.  League information for our boys program will be posted on the Team Schedules webpage as well.  There aren't many boys volleyball tournaments or leagues in the puget sound region so our boys volleyball U18 team will play in men's leagues like the Northwest Islander Volleyball Organization (NIVO) league, or local USAV men's tournaments.  The NIVO league starts in the Fall, late October early November.  We typically don't enter that league until their Winter session which begins in January.

Players.  We are always looking for committed players.  Our goal is to field at least one U14, U16 and U18 team.  We will combine age groups to form teams as needed, depending on the amount of interest and turnout.  If you're interested in joining our boys volleyball program, send an email to Coach Kama at  Include the following contact information:  name, address, phone number, grade and birthdate.

Player Registration.  Players must also complete and parents must sign the Power Surge Registration Form and turn in their registration forms at their first practice.  Players may not participate in any practice without a completed and signed registration form.  Because we may also play in USAV sponsored tournaments, players must be registered and current USAV members.

Club Dues.  The monthly club dues is $50 starting in November.  The monthly fee may be made by cash or check and is due by the 5th each month.  For your convenience, if you wish to pay with a credit card, you may do so through PayPal.  Just scroll to the bottom of this page and enter the PayPal system from there.  There is a service fee for all online PayPal payment transactions.  The preferred payment method however is by check and mailed through the US Postal Service.  Please write your checks to Power Surge Volleyball, and mail to 15429 14th Ave Ct E, Tacoma, WA 98445.

Other Fees.  Other fees include tournament entry fees and league entry fees.  Most local single-day tournaments have an entry fee of $175 (about $25 per player).  Leagues are $250 to $350 (4 to 6 weeks in duration).  The tournament/league entry fees must be paid by the team.  Any traveling costs (lodging, transportation, food, etc.) to Spokane, Oregon, California or Canada are extra and must be paid by the team.  Those costs to travel will be computed and collected separately.  Teams must fundraise to pay for their travel costs.

Uniforms.  We have a boy's jersey for the team.  However, if the team wants to purchase new jerseys and warm ups, all those costs are extra.  Puget sound boys volleyball
