Power Surge 99: Welcome

The vision of the Power Surge 99 team is to provide opportunities for female scholar athletes who have a desire to play softball at the collegiate level. We are a nationally recognized girls fastpitch softball organization which promotes female athletes, physically trained and mentally conditioned to enter the collegiate softball arena as a means of obtaining a college education. It is our focus and goal to create opportunities for young female athletes academically and professionally. Our players are exposed to high quality and experienced coaching that will ultimately achieve a higher skill and a greater knowledge of the game, allowing them to effectively market themselves to college coaches at all division levels.

• Teach young athletes the value of creating opportunities and success through the strength and performance of a highly successful organization.
• Provide a unique, positive atmosphere for advanced student athletes to develop their skills while building confidence, self-esteem, and mental toughness.
• Build a highly competitive “tribe” whose players exhibit the effectiveness of "teamwork" and sportsmanship through good attitude, effort, hustle, and desire to “win that inch”.
• Provide tools and leadership skills that will serve our players on and off the field.
• Stress the importance of academic achievement as it relates to competitive sports and to success in future endeavors in life.

One important aspect of the Power Surge organization that is our College A+Success Program. Our coaches work closely with colleges and their coaches to actively market Power Surge players that wish to play college softball and have all or part of their college expenses covered through scholarships. The program includes detailed work with individual players and actively assist them with the compilation of their player profile package and video their junior and senior high school years. We guide our players through this process by working with experts in this field and tailoring our program to the needs of our individual players. College coaches are kept up to date on all players interested in their respective schools through the A+Success Program and can access the Power Surge web site for specific update on player statistic, player profiles, achievements and locations of tournaments where they can observe prospective players.
