Monday, April 7 --POWER SURGE 96 CHAMPIONS--TRIPLE CROWN PALM SPRINGS QUALIFIER APRIL 5-6 Power Surge 96 comes home to San Diego as Champions of the Field of Dreams Triple Crown Qualifier in Palm Springs. This was a very quality tournament with 30 teams from all over the Western States. For this young team to win against mostly older 12U 95 teams is certainly impressive. But to know how Power Surge won is even more impressive. PS96 gave up only 7 runs in 7 games. PS96 scored 48 runs. A huge stat is Power Surge hit 15 home runs in the tournament sending its opponents outfielders deep every game. This team is truly reaching the potential we felt it has. Still more improvement will make this great team even better. Congrats girls, you won a great tournament being the best you can be.
