Potomac Cougars 95: Welcome

Welcome to the website for the Potomac Cougars 1995 soccer club.

We are part of the Potomac Soccer organization.

The '95 Cougars (born after Aug.1, 1994) have played together for the past 4-1/2 years.  We compete in Division 2 of the National Capitol Soccer League ("NCSL"). The Cougars are committed to developing individual skills, building teamwork, and competing at the highest level.

We practice three times per week in the Potomac/Rockville area, play in at least 3-4 high-level tournaments each year.  We have a group of highly motivated and dedicated athletes who are interested in learning from seasoned and professional coaches, playing the game at a high level, and developing their love for the greatest game in the world.

What makes our team special?

Coaching: Our head coach, Khuluma Zulu, is experienced and dedicated. Coach Khuluma has coached the 95 Cougars for the past 4 years and takes a personal interest in the physical and moral development of each of the boys. Coach Khuluma's method consists of focusing on technical mastery of the game, with great emphasis on touch, ball ability, and soccer intelligence.

Players: Cameraderie and sportsmanship are the paramount traits of our players. They respect the game, officials, each other, and opposing teams. The team spends as many as 10 hours a week together and genuinely like each other.

Parents: We share carpooling and other game-related duties. We love to cheer for our team and watching them grow and mature. We take pride in our commitment to fair play and grace under pressure.
