BREAKING....Former Fighting 63rd RHP Austin Blaski has been named the Mideast Region and Ohio Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year....congratulations to him and his family!
NEXT UP....
The OG Community will “GoTo Bat For The Band” this Thursday at Memorial Field in Ottawa. The evening will feature a twi-nite DH of Baseball, the OG Jazz Band, a bullpen where kids and adults can test their fastball against a radar gun, and plenty of food and drinks. It all gets underway at 5:00PM with a Soup Cook-Off sponsored by the OG Band Boosters. Then at 5:30PM Glandorf Mayor Gene Warnecke will throw out the first-pitch prior to the Glandorf vs Ottawa Pony League game.
Following the Pony League showdown, the OG Jazz Band will perform during intermission, with the soup cook-off continuing. Then at approximately 8:00PM Ottawa Mayor Dean Meyer will throw out the first- pitch prior to an exhibition game between the Ottawa Legion and the OG ACME team.
Admission to the event is free, and is being sponsored by American Legion Post 63, SAL 63, and Auxiliary Unit 63. Proceeds will benefit the OG Band new uniform campaign.

TAWA RUN CLASSIC UPDATE (The Tournament Is Now Full)....the 11th Annual Tawa Run Classic American Legion Baseball tournament is set for June 15-17, 2012. This tournament has gained recognition as one of the best, and most scouted tournaments in Ohio. Scouts from D-1, D-2, D-3, and pro-ball attended the tourney last year. Teams that have committed include : Ashland, Ashley, Zanesville, Lima, Adrian MI, Maumee, Toledo, Coshocton, Avon Lake, Conneaut, Bucyrus, and Ottawa.
OTTAWA LEGION BASEBALL has announced it will sponsor an excursion in August 2012 to The Isle of Coudre in Canada. 76 of 88 seats have already been sold. For a trip itinerary and booking info click on Isle of Coudres Vacation link at left.
