Mandatory tryouts
Jan. 9-10 & Jan. 16-17
All players ages 8+ must attend two days of tryouts to play in the Spring. Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time to register. And please be sure you fill out registration paperwork under HANDOUTS/tryout registration before you arrive. The John Tyler Soccer Complex is located at 3701 Willett Dr. Portsmouth VA 23707.

Please give coaches all unforms

Registration Opens Jan. 1 for Youth, Adult leagues
- Register by mail: Fill out the forms under HANDOUTS/player packet. Include fees, which will be posted here soon. Mail to Portsmouth Soccer Club PO Box 3333, Portsmouth VA 23701
- Register in person: Fill out the forms in advance. Location TBA. Jan. 9, 16, 23 11 am-3 pm
- Check back for fees. All fees must be paid in full for a player to be placed on a team. Fees include a $25 fundraising fee per player.
- All Advance players MUST be registered and paid in full by Jan. 23
Update on Fundraising
PSC has instituted a mandatory fund raising fee of $25. This was done due to a 6% participation in league fund raising. However, we as a League still need to look at ways to raise money in order to keep registration cost down and still be able to maintain equipment cost and maintenance for 2 venues. It is not our goal to increase the cost to you, but to help maintain current fees so that youth activity and participation are enhanced at an affordable rate. With the economy in such turmoil we have started searching for other means of generating cash flow.
One way is to seek out Sponsors for our Club. Under Handouts you will find a Business Sponsorship form. Anyone within the league can help with this program. Simply download the form and take to any local business. We are still working on all the benefits of being a league sponsor. Full details to be released in Jan. Any questions about the Business Sponsorship Program should be directed to Daryl Fischer, dfischer@shoreschristian.org .
Program in the works for PSC families to help PSC families
"The Youth Sponsor Program": Families helping families, keeping our kids off the streets. This program will be a donation program to go toward the fees of players unable to cover some or all of the cost for playing soccer. The Details of this Program, how to request sponsorship and how to become a sponsor will be Posted by Dec. 31, 2009.
