Handout: Darlington American LL Christopher Andreozzi Monday, June 18 Tiverton LL PESKY PECKHAM Memorial Tournament Tiverton Little League http://eteamz.active.com/tivertonll/ 6th Annual Pesky Peckham Memorial 9u Invitational Tournament Tiverton Little League is pleased to extend an invitation to your organization to participate in the 6th annual Pesky Peckham Memorial Baseball Tournament for ages 9 and under. The tournament will be limited to eight teams & will be in Pool Play format with two pools of four teams each. All teams entered are guaranteed a minimum of three games, with the top two teams in each pool advancing to the semi-final Championship round. Trophies will be awarded to the Champion and Runner-Up teams. All proceeds from the Pesky Peckham Memorial tournament will go towards scholarships for two deserving Tiverton High School seniors who have come up through the Tiverton Little League Baseball & Softball programs. All players must be league age 8 or 9 (based on a players age on April 30, 2007). Tournament rules are included with this mailing and will be adhered to; however, it should be noted that the main goal of the tournament is to encourage as much playing time as possible for players and to provide an atmosphere of friendliness, sportsmanship, and cooperation among players and coaches. Games will be played during the weekends of August 10-12 and the following weekend, August 17-19. All games will be played at the Town Farm Sporting Complex in Tiverton, RI. Entrance fee for this year has been set at $250 per team. We are limiting entry in the tournament to the first eight teams from whom we receive a check for $250. All subsequent checks will be returned. Please send your check along with the enclosed Registration Form to reserve your spot (Tiverton Little League, PO Box 171, Tiverton, RI 02878). Please be sure to include your contact information (Name, Phone, and Email) so that we can contact you regarding the schedule for the pre-tournament meeting. Steele Memorial Tournament D(artmouth)YAA LL Managers and Coaches: On behalf of the Dartmouth Baseball League I am pleased to extend an invitation to your organization to participate in our annual John B. Steele Baseball Tournament. Again this year's tournament will consist of four divisions. Our Junior Tournament for players 10 yrs. old and under will be played on July 27, 28, 29, and August 3, 4, & 5. Our Little League division for players 12 yrs. old and under will be held on August 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, & 12. Pony division for players 13 yrs. old will be played on July 26, 27, 28, & 29. Senior division for players 15 yrs. old and under will be on August 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, & 12 . * As in the past our tournament will be limited to 20 Junior teams, 24 little league teams, 6 Pony teams and 12 Senior teams. * This year's entrance fee has been set at $300 per team. Matty Oliveira, a Fairhaven resident, died four days after falling off a go-cart and sustaining a severe head injury. His fight for life during those four days truly demonstrated the heart and determination of this 13 year-old boy. Students who most demonstrate their love for life and the people in it, along with their willingness to challenge themselves to go beyond their capabilities in both athletics and academics are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. |
