Before You Come to Tryouts

1. Register online

Prior to coming to the first tryout (first placement session fro 14U, first practice for 12U) each player must register (or renew registration) online with the New England Regional Volleyball Association (NERVA).  NERVA uses the registration system for USAVolleyball.  Register by following one of the following links.  Be sure to select'Portland North Juiors' as the Club

Returning players: https://webpoint.usavolleyball.org/ (select the 'Login' link on the left side of the page)

2. Print, complete and sign the following forms:

1.     USAV Waiver & Release of Liability and Participant Code of Conduct (link to this form will be available on the usavolleyball.org website after registration)

2.     2010 USAV Medical Release Form (link to this form will be available on the usavolleyball.org website after registration)

3.     PNJO Tryout Form - available at http://www.eteamz.com/PortlandNorthJrs/handouts/ (select Tryuot-Information).  High school players we encourage you to please fill out page two of this form with your high school coach. 

3. Check this year's age division definitions

12U (12 & Under) Division - Players born on or after September 1, 1997

14U (14 & Under) Division - Players born on or after September 1, 1995

16U (16 & Under) Division - Players born on or after September 1, 1993

18U (18 & Under) Division - Players born on or after September 1, 1991 OR Player is currently in 12th grade or lower and born on or after September 1, 1990

What to Bring to Tryouts

 

1.     USAV Waiver form printed and signed by parent

2.     USAV Medical form printed and signed by parent

3.     Portland North Tryout Form

4.     Check or money order for $55.00 made payable to Portland North JO.  This fee covers the $35.00 NERVA registration fee and the $20.00 tryout fee (covers all tryouts a girl attends).  All girls trying out for 12U, and girls trying out for 14U for the first time, pay only the $35.00 NERVA fee.  ($10 fee for returned checks)

The 2010 NERVA tournament schedule has been posted. The tournament dates for Portland North are: March 7, March 21, April 11, April 25 and May 2 (Championships).
