The Port Jervis Little League recently crowned its
Major Girls champion.
The Major girl's championship was decided in a one game playoff game due to the moving up of the District 19 Tournament schedule. The Yankees defeated the Athletics in a close game. The coaches did not submit any score, so we don't have that information.

The Port Jervis Little League, Inc. would like to thank the coaches listed below for showing up recently to help get the Bell Little League Complex ready for the off-season. These coaches took down all the sponsor signs and took down the nets for the batting cages. Their help is GREATLY appreciated.
The league also upgraded the girl's softball field this off-season by installing a grass infield. The executive board made this decision after NUMEROUS games were cancelled due to poor field conditions.
BIG THANKS TO:
Tony Buzzelli
Don Jones
Brian Trainor
Ken Bontrager

The Port Jervis Little League is looking for umpires for its Major Boys & Girls divisions. If you have a baseball or softball background, the league could use you to umpire games. Adults & teenagers can umpire in our league. Experience with the sport is helpful. If you are a high school student, it is a GREAT way to get community service credits. If you are interested, contact the league president, Don Romer @ 856-2981 or Red Hossan @ 856-1532.
