The official website of the Port Jervis Little League
This is the site of the Port Jervis Little League, Inc. Our league has boys & girls t-ball, minors, majors divisions.
The objective of our local league shall be to implant firmly in the children of our community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for authority, so that they may be well adjusted, stronger and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy citizens.
WE ALSO WOULD LIKE TO THANK OUR MANY VOLUNTEERS AND OUR MANY SPONSORS WHO HELP MAKE OUR LITTLE LEAGUE A SUCCESS.
The PJLL is doing a different fundraiser this year. We hope all coaches, parents & players will do their BEST with the fundraiser that your division is participating in. COACHES, if you do not hand in equipment & uniforms, you will NOT be able to coach this season.
*MAJOR COACHES: Please do not cancel games until the cancellation is approved by the League President. Please do not take it upon yourselves to cancel games unless weather is the deciding factor. Future cancellations without the approval of the President will result in a forfeit and disciplinary action will follow pending a Board Meeting.

If you are looking for information about signing up, please go to the hand out section and open the sign up flyer document. It will give you information you need to sign up. THERE WILL BE NO REQUESTING OF TEAMS FOR ANY DIVISION THIS YEAR. PLAYER GOES TO THE TEAM THAT DRAFTS HIM OR HER. ONLY EXCEPTION WILL BE
T-BALL DIVISION.

AJ DeChaiara Pitches PERFECT Game!!!
PERFECT GAME Pitched in Port Jervis Little League
Winning pitcher AJ DeChiara. AJ pitched a
PERFECT GAME; he threw 72 pitches (19 balls and 53 strikes) and
struckout 17 batters. Members of the league have been asking former players, coaches and present and former executive board members from many different eras, and so far, no one can remember a PERFECT game being pitched in this league.
FUNDRAISERS HELP LEAGUE RUN SMOOTHLY
Thanks to all the coaches, parents & players who did a great job on the leagues fundraisers. The league would like to recognize Tyler Montalvo of the Midget Division Marlins for collecting the MOST money of any player in any division. Tyler earned an I-Pod for his efforts!
The PJLL would also like to recognize the team that collected the most money for the league. The team that earned this honor was the Major Girls Phillies. For their great teamwork and hard work, they have earned a team pizza party. Great job ladies!

Central Division - Major Boys & Girls coaches need to send in game results after every game. We can't keep the website or standings updated if the coaches don't send in the information. The league can also not get game results in the Gazette if we don't have the information.

Opening Days Set
Saturday, April 21st, the PORT JERVIS LITTLE LEAGUE will open its MAJOR Boys & Girls & Central Division 2012 season. Teams should be there at 7:30 AM for individual & team photos. In the event of bad weather, the photos will be taken in the Hose 5 Firehouse.
Coaches, remember to bring a typed or neatly printed roster of players & coaches to your openning day ceremonies. Bring the roster upstairs.
On April 28th, the MINOR Girls & MIDGET Boys & Girls Division will start their 2012 season.
On April 29th, the T-BALL Boys & Girls will open their seasons.
Special thanks go out to the few coaches & executive board members who helped get the fields ready for the 2012 season. SPECIAL thanks go out to Shawn O'Brien, a PJHS senior who has volunteered MANY hours to help get the fields ready.

PORT JERVIS LITTLE LEAGUE is looking for umpires.
The Port Jervis Little League is looking for umpires for its Major Boys & Girls divisions. If you have a baseball or softball background, the league could use you to umpire games. Adults & teenagers can umpire in our league. Experience with the sport is helpful. If you are a high school student, it is a GREAT way to get community service credits. If you are interested, contact the league president, Don Romer @ 856-2981 or Red Hossan @ 856-1532.

Divisions are forming!
The Port Jervis Little League will forming their divisions after registrations are over. The first divisions that will be put together are the Major Boys & Girls. The next divisions will be the Minors & Midgets. The last divisions that will be put together are the T-Ball divisions & the Jr./Sr. Division. Coaches will contact you when your child has been drafted/picked. Draft dates have not been set yet.
