Team Rules
Mission Statement
“Excellence on and off the field”. Each team member is expected to pursue excellence not only on the baseball field, but also in the community as a responsible person.
Expectations
Every player must bring a positive attitude to both practices and games. Each player is expected to work hard and take coaching. They need to practice becoming a good teammate and continuously strive toward reaching excellence. Excellence is a continuous, relentless, never-ending commitment to improve. It is a gradual result of always trying to get better. Each player will demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times, regardless of victory or defeat. It is also expected that each player will abide by all team and school rules.
Practice Policy
We ask that players put forth their best effort at all time during practice. A player who does not do so will be encouraged to change their pace, if he is unable to do so, he may then be asked to leave practice. Dismissal from practice can influence the amount of playing time an individual receives and subjects himself to removal from the team. A player enhances his chances of more playing time by practicing hard, but is not a guarantee as other factors are involved in matters of playing time.
Attendance Policy
Players are expected to be at every practice and team function on time. Unavoidable conflicts should be explained to the coach prior to an absence when possible. Each absence or tardy will be considered on an individual basis and may or may not be excused. If an absence or tardy is deemed unexcused, the following will result:
First unexcused absence: One game suspension
Second unexcused absence: Two game suspension
Third unexcused absence: Dismissal from the team
