JULY NEWSLETTER

Hey everyone…just wanted to put together a quick newsletter to give you a heads up of things to come and make sure you all had our phone numbers. We will be getting all the cell numbers of the girls on Tuesday’s practice. We are so excited for this year and we feel like we are all working hard towards a great team so far.

Attached is a current July calendar and below you will find more information regarding upcoming events and deadlines.

PRACTICES

You should have all received an e-mail with a link to the You Tube Videos for learning cheers. Those need to be learned by July 12th.

July practices times will be changing from 8-10 to 8-11, still Tuesday – Thursday.

Practice wear is as follows: (no jewelry at all)

Tues: black skort w/green or gray shirt/tank

Wed: black and white shorts w/white shirt/tank

Thurs: black shorts w/pink top if you have one or white (we will discuss @ practice)

If your daughter misses practice, it is her responsibility to find out what she has missed and get caught up as soon as possible. The girls are a team and need everyone, no matter what their position is. Each person who misses a practice or practices will be required to make up that days’ condition before the week is over. He/she will either stay late each day or stay late on the last day of the week to get caught up. Conditioning is for the good of each person on the team and is necessary to be fit for this cheerleading year.

**Remember – conditioning signed sheet is due on Tuesday, July 12th!

UPCOMING EVENTS

July 12th – Back to practice! TIME CHANGED PRACTICE WILL GO TILL 11:00 A.M.

July 14th – Be on the lookout for your Cheer Invoice

July 16th – Car Wash – make sure to pre-sell tickets and be sure to sign up for times with Coach Bethany. (Tickets to be handed out on Tuesday, July 12th)

July 18th – PJB Stunt Clinic –Arrive at the field at 5:15 p.m. Stunt Clinic to start at 6:00-8:30 p.m. Everyone is required to attend! This is a mandatory fundraiser. Wear black skort, white t-shirt, cheer bow and cheer shoes. Hair should always be up in cheer pony tail.

July 19th – Final Payment Due

July 21st – Varsity Pot Luck Get Together – 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Coach Kelly’s. Bring salad or appetizer to share. Bring your swimsuit and towel and your creative thoughts for making up 50’s dance and Flash Mob dance.

July 30th – Garage Sale – TBA

AUGUST

August 2nd – 4th – Game Day Boot Camp – We will be concentrating on all cheers, sidelines, and line dances this week!

WISH LIST/DONATIONS WANTED Some of the items we need are listed below, if you can help with any of these items or know of someone who can, please let us know. First Aid Kit – including numerous instant ice packs (the kind you can “break” cold) Butcher paper and masking tape for making run-through signs Paint and Paint Brushes to make run-through signs (Crayola Washable type) A rolling dolly for the mats. (Linnea’s dad already offered but may need more help)

PARENT DRIVERS We will be handing out the forms for those of you who want to drive to and from games. These forms need to be turned in and if you are planning on being a driver, we need you to attach your insurance declarations page.
