Polar Bears: Welcome
Polar Bears finish regular season 7-0!
After a game in which the Polar Bears took the field without a "true" QB, they found themselves 6-0 behind some crafty play calling and pure athletic ability. The Bears used almost every skill player on the roster to produce offense as they ran the ball over and over until Nate Tuatagaloa and Justin Oswald each found the end zone on scoring runs. The passing game wasn't completely absent as Terrance Marks tossed TD passes to Brandon Matano and speedster Anthony Stewart. The scoring was capped off once again by Mr. 2pt conversion, Ben Moa, who seems to always have one up his sleeve brining the final to 26-6.
The Bears will "stumble" into the playoffs after a 30-20 victory over the Oilers/Steelers. Miscues and mental mistakes were prevailant and the Bears secondary was exploited several times. However, Nate Tuatagaloa took up the slack by adding 3 INTs (returning 1 for a TD) and picking an attempted 2pt conversion. Nash Montoya had a big night as well with 2 long TD receptions. QB Nate Cardenas threw the first and QB Caleb Eastman tossed the other TD to Montoya, as well as adding 1 to WR Brandon Matano. Danny Huhyn and who else?......... Ben Moa added 2pt conv. receptions
The Polar Bears will need to improve their play across the board if they plan to compete in the post season tournament. Every team will have a record of 0-0 and will no doubt be hungry not only to knock off the Bears, but also propel themselves deeper in the playoffs. There would be nothing sweeter than to avenge an earlier loss to the Bears, and advance to the championship game at the same time! Playoffs? Anybody up for some playoffs??
