SABLE 2014

The final tryout (hitting) will take place on Tuesday, January 28th. If you could not make the Sunday fielding tryout, we will be covering makeups for that as well.

The PYBS Board of Directors developed a supplemental program to the regular season three years ago for baseball players ages 9-12. This program, SABLE, began as a Sunday afternoon league with teams from the surrounding towns. This program has benefited many of our members. Thanks to the feedback from parents, players and coaches, last year we decided to move the SABLE program in a different direction.

This year we are again entering the SABLE teams into the open and super division of the New England AAU League. This will allow us to schedule games with more options, efficiency and reliability. As a result of moving to a more competitive schedule, we will have one or more teams at each age group to participate. Each team will be made up of 12 players. All teams will play single games or double headers on Sundays (April thru June) and will not conflict with the American, National and Farm League schedules.

The cost of the program is $300. This includes 7 weeks of indoor workouts, AAU registration, patched umpires, 14 AAU games, long sleeve Dri-FIT shirt, hat, belt and Socks. Players will wear their own grey baseball pants. Payments can be made by credit card at the league website or as installments prior to April 1st by contacting the league treasurer, Brian Nolan at

Tryouts for the teams will be held on the following dates:

Sunday Afternoon Baseball League (SABLE) Is Back For 2013

The PYBS Board of Directors developed a supplemental program to the regular season two years ago for baseball players ages 9-12. This program, SABLE, began as a Sunday afternoon league with teams from the surrounding towns. This program has benefited many of our members. Thanks to the feedback from parents, players and coaches we have decided to move the SABLE program in a different direction.

All teams will play single games or double headers on Sundays (April thru June) and will not conflict with the Major League and Farm League schedules.

Sunday Afternoon Baseball League (SABLE) Is Back For 2012

We are excited to offer again this year an opportunity for our youth baseball players to participate in a supplemental program of competitive baseball on Sunday afternoons from the beginning of April until early June. The schedule will not conflict with our regular PYBS baseball programs.

Each team in the 9, 10, 11 and 12 year old divisions will carry a maximum of 15 players. Games are designed to play either doubleheaders or one 7 inning game against competition from surrounding towns or AAU programs.

The cost of the program is $165 per player. This includes:

• 8 Game Schedule - Sunday Afternoons
• Indoor Workouts during February and March
• Outdoor April Vacation Clinics with instruction from Dwayne Follette and members of the PNHS Baseball Program
• Team Lessons with Baseball Instructor Bob Boutin
Instruction from our Experienced League Coaches
• Uniform Jersey, Socks, and Hat (Players are asked to provide their own gray pants)

Last year we received a great deal of positive feedback from our parents. The players received a lot of repetitions which prepared them for very successful spring and summer seasons.

This year's tryout locations will be at PCIS and USA Fitness in Carver. Former Plymouth Youth Baseball coaches Ken Drew and Bob Niklaus have opened up a 4 cage training facility at USA Fitness.

All players that are interested are encouraged to try out for these teams on the following dates:

Sunday Feb 26th - Makeup Tryout

9, 10, 11, 12 USA FITNESS 6:15-7:15pm

All players must be registered first for the 2012 Baseball Season before they can participate in SABLE.

Our SABLE Goal: To provide an additional opportunity for our players to have fun and develop their baseball skills.

Please direct any questions regarding SABLE to: Jim Hanna (508-245-2658)

Parents can register their children to participate online at  There is limited space for the instructional sessions so registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a particular session is full, any other interested participants will still be allowed to sign up for that session but will be put on a waiting list. If spots open up, those on the waiting list will begin to fill them again in the order that participants registered.

Instructional sessions will consist of a combination of players, former players, and coaches, and participants will take part in a variety of instructional drills which may include infield and outfield fielding drills, base-running, pitching, hitting and other general instruction.  Participants will also receive fun giveaways, and much more!

Teams are forming now.  If you want your child to participate you must register online.

This year when register your children to play in our program you will be required to present an official government issued birth certificate and proof of residency (your drivers license, utility bill, tax bill, etc).  We will not be collecting these documents but will review them for eligibility to participate in the program.  This has long been required by Little League regulations and will be enforced this year.
Note: Persons registering online will be asked to present these documents for review to the Team Manager before the start of the 2006 season, (probably during a scheduled practice).

Please be advised that it is important for the safety of all our players and to fully comply with Little League regulations that everyone who participates plays within their assigned age group and lives within the geographic boundaries of our leagues.  Players found to be in violation of these regulations will be expelled from the league without refund.

This season the Board of Directors have voted to reinstate the separation of Plymouth and Plymouth West Little League by geographic means.  What we decided was to use the established voting precincts as a means of determining who is in Plymouth Little League and who is in Plymouth West Little League.  The exact breakdown is as follows:
