Plymouth-Canton Little League: 2010 Spring Season Divisions
Baseball League Age 5-7 as of April 30th
The primary objective of the T-Ball division is to provide a positive introduction to Little League Baseball by creating an atmosphere which will allow each individual player to develop fundamentals baseball skills within the context of having fun.
T-ball starts near May 1, and ends at the end of June. There is generally one practice per week and a game on Saturday. Practice is for one hour, and the Saturday game is one hour. Your coach will let you know your practice and game schedule. All practices and games will be held within the Canton, Plymouth and Plymouth Township areas. Players need to bring a glove. The Plymouth Canton Little League will supply bats, balls, t-shirt and hat. Rubber Baseball Cleats are optional.
Coach Pitch League
Baseball League Age 7-8 as of April 30th
The primary objective of the Coach Pitch division is to bridge the gap between T-Ball and the Minor divisions. As the name implies, the coach will pitch to each batter. This will give the players a sense for what to expect in the Minor division, while allowing the coaches to offer pitches more advantageous for the hitter to hit.
While we encourage teams to keep track of outs, no scores or standings will be kept. Learning the rules of the game and sportsmanship are the main objectives of this division.

Baseball League Age 8-10 as of April 30th
The primary objective of the Minor division is to provide an arena to practice fundamental baseball skills, to develop knowledge of the game, and to cooperate and compete in a safe & friendly environment. Teams will play using full Little League rules including strikeouts, walks, stealing bases etcÂ…, they will also be limited in the level of competition.
While there is a sense of a competitive nature, building the players skill and knowledge of the game is most important. Winning is secondary to learning the basic fundamental of the game and sportsmanship in the game of baseball.

Baseball League Age 10-12 as of April 30th
The primary objective of the Major division is to offer players a competitive brand of baseball, while providing a positive role model, and remembering that baseball is a fun game.
The competitiveness should be built around even distribution of the talent pool. Instruction in the advanced fundamentals of baseball is offered, while emphasizing that winning is the object of the game, but that losing a well played game is not bad. We teach our players how to win and how to lose gracefully.
