Minor League
League ages 9-11.
Many children coming into Little League each year are eager to learn, develop skills & look forward to the opportunity to be selected on "major" league teams. Thus, the Minor League program is important to the league operation in providing the basic training in fundamentals.
The purpose of the Minor League program is to provide training & instruction for those candidates who by reason of age and other factors do not qualify for selection in the Major (also referred to as Little League) Division. Minor Division players are subject to selection by draft by any Pahrump Little League Major Team. Refusal of a player to comply shall result in forfeiture of further eligibility in the Little League (majors) Division for the current season.
Major League (Also known as "Little League")
Drafted players are league ages 10, 11, or 12 years old. Players not eligible, due to ability (safety issues), will remain in the Minors. Other rules may apply as set forth by the Board of Directors.
Tee Ball
League ages 5 and 6.
This program is developed primarily for young players & those just learning the fundamentals. Rather than using the pitched ball, Tee Ball utilizes an adjustable batting stand or "tee" from which the ball is hit.
Note: Participation by 5 & 6 year old players must be restricted to T-Ball only. However, if a player who is league age 6 has played one year of Tee Ball, he/she may play in the Minor Machine Pitch Division.
Minor Machine Pitch
Consists of players whose league age is 7 or 8 years old.
PLL approved Machine (operated only by the Manager/Coach) Pitch for the entire season.
Junior League
League age 13 or 14 years old. Junior League is an extension of the Little League to provide a continuing activity within the framework of the local league. It is designed to accommodate children coming out of the Little League ranks. Under certain circumstances 15 year olds may play in this division, in which case the League has gained approval from Little League, Inc.
Senior League
League ages 14 through 16.
Since 14 year olds are eligible for either the Junior League or the Senior League, and 16 year olds are eligible for either the Senior or the Big League, the League's Board of Directors (BOD) must decide the division in which these players will participate. The BOD may decide to place all or some of the players of these age groups in one or two divisions.
