Carolina Softball Association: CSA News

  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday, December 17, 2012 (Darlington, SC) 

CSA is excited to announce that we have merged with USSSA beginning in 2013!   Teams will receive the same great CSA service while having the opportunity to participate in tournaments under the USSSA brand.

 Although tournaments will not be sanctioned in 2013 as CSA, your CSA service directors are now USSSA Area Directors and will continue to service your team in the Pee Dee and Coastal areas of South Carolina!  Tournament schedules, information, etc will be available online at www.scutrip.com. We are working with state and area USSSA directors to get all dates uploaded online ASAP. Several great tournaments are scheduled for Florence, Myrtle Beach, Sumter, Hartsville, Aiken, Lexington, Rock Hill, and more!

Congratulations to the following teams participating in CSA's 2012 Team Points Championship! 

Champions:   Palmetto Force 14U (Florence SC) - $750.00 towards 2013 events

Runners-Up:  Dirt Diamonds 14U  (Lancaster SC) - $500.00 towards 2013 events

3rd Place:      Darlington Ice 14U  (Darlington SC) - $250.00 towards 2013 events

The top two teams attended CSA's end of the year awards ceremony in Hartsville.  Many thanks to all 2012 teams as well as Byerly Park and the City of Hartsville for their support of CSA!
