Tuesday, February 9
BLUE WAVE DOMINATE BRONSON IN DISTRICT QUARTER-FINALS, 63-32

Junior guard Devin Wilson had 16 points, including five 3's and five assists for the Blue Wave!  Tyler Courson added 15 points, including 2 3's, and led in assists with 6.  Other scorers were:  Carl Brown 6; Zeke Hicks 5; Ryan Thombs 3 (3-pointer); D'Karas Fields 3; Tyler Hagin, Omali Tyson, Keith Kelsey, Ron Foxx, Travail Davis, Sir Jackson, & Doug Mebane each with 2; and Raleigh Rebstock 1.  Tyson had the most rebounds with 5.

Next up the Blue Wave will meet Bell in the Semi-Finals on Friday, 7:00 PM at St. Francis.  Bell came back to beat Chiefland 55-45 in the quarter-final game. 

District #2 ranked St. Francis plays Dixie County and #3 ranked Hawthorne plays Branford in the other two quarter-final games on Tuesday 2/9.

BLUE WAVE END THEIR REGULAR SEASON WITH SENIOR NIGHT AND A LOSS TO SANTA FE 54-50

Leading scorers: Devin Wilson 20 (2 3-pointers); Carl Brown 11 (3-pointer); Travail Davis 7 (3-pointer); Keith Kelsey & Ron Foxx 4; and Tyler Courson 2.  Foxx led in rebounds with 8 and Wilson in assists with 4.

Prior to the game, seniors Tyler Courson, Travail Davis, Doug Mebane, and Ryan Thombs were celebrated!

Friday, February 5
BLUE WAVE HOLD ON TO BEAT BUCHHOLZ 63-58

After a rough 1st quarter, the Blue Wave got into the game and came out on the winning end.  They were led by junior guard Carl Brown who had 21 points, three rebounds and two steals.  Other scorers were: Devin Wilson 16 (2 3-point goals); Tyler Courson 11 (3 3-point goals); Ron Foxx 6; Tyler Hagin 4; and Keith Kelsey 3.  Wilson led in the assists category with 3 and Kelsey had 7 rebounds.

The Blue Wave improve their record to 18-6. 



Wednesday, February 3
BLUE WAVE FALL TO GAINESVILLE HURRICANES 82-68

Scoring Summary: Devin Wilson 22 (2 3-point goals); Carl Brown 15 (3-point goal); Tyler Courson 11 (3 3-point goals); Sir Jackson 6 (2 3-point goals); Keith Kelsey and Travail Davis 4; Omali Tyson, Ron Foxx, & Zeke Hicks 2.  Foxx was the rebound leader with 5 and Wilson the assists leader with 4. 

The JV had an exciting 58-54 win over Gainesville!

BLUE WAVE PULL OUT EXCITING 57-56 VICTORY OVER EASTSIDE

Devin Wilson led the team in the city-rival matchup, with 21 points (3 3-pointers), 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.  Ron Foxx had 10 rebounds.  Other scorers were: Carl Brown 11; Tyler Courson 11 (3 3-pointers); Foxx 6; and Tyler Hagin and Keith Kelsey each with 4.

Wednesday, January 27
PK YONGE EARNS WIN OVER RAIDERS

Tyler Courson scored 17 points (3 3-point goals), Carl Brown 13 points, and Devin Wilson 12 points (3-point goal) in the Blue Wave's 59-45 victory over Santa Fe.  Ron Foxx had the most rebounds (9) and Wilson led in assists (8).  Other scorers were: Keith Kelsey 8, Foxx 4, Travail Davis 3, and Omaili Tyson 2.  Excitement filled the gym as Tyson dunked the ball!

BLUE WAVE GO 1-1 IN BOBCAT SHOOTOUT

On Friday night the Blue Wave beat Naples Golden Gate 73-61.  Junior Devin Wilson recorded his third triple-double of the season with 10 points (1 3-point goal), 10 assists, and 10 rebounds.  Carl Brown led all scorers with 24 points, and Tyler Courson added 15 (3 3-point goals).  Other scorers were: Omali Tyson 8; Ron Foxx 6; Keith Kelsey and Travail Davis 3; and Tyler Hagin 2.

Rival Williston beat the Blue Wave on Saturday night 61-50.  Brown once again led the scoring route with 20.  Wilson added 15, Courson 9 (3 3-point goals), Kelsey 4, and Foxx 2.  Wilson led in assists (6) and Foxx pulled down the most rebounds (6).

BLUE WAVE POUR ON POINTS TO BEAT DIXIE COUNTY 72-31

Junior Carl Brown (19 points, 2 3-point goals) and Tyler Courson (13 points, 3 3-point goals) led the way with double figures.  Other scorers were: Devin Wilson 9 (3 3-point goals); Sir Jackson 6 (3-point goal); Keith Kelsey 6; Ryan Thombs 5 (3-point goal); Zeke Hicks 5; Ron Foxx 4; Doug Mebane 3; and Omali Tyson 2.  Wilson led the team in assists with 8, while Kelsey pulled down the most rebounds (8).   The Blue Wave improve their record to 13-5 overall and 8-0 in their district.

The JV also had a big win!

BLUE WAVE OVERWHELM TRENTON

The Blue Wave beat Trenton 56-11.  Tyler Courson led the way with 17 points (2 3-point goals).  Devin Wilson added 10 points (1 3-point goal), along with 3 assists.  Other scorers were: Carl Brown 9; Sir Jackson 6; Tyler Hagin 5; Travail Davis 4; Omali Tyson and Doug Mebane 2; and Raleigh Rebstock 1.  Ron Foxx pulled down the most rebounds with 12.

The JV also got the win against Trenton.

BLUE WAVE REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN DISTRICT AFTER 60-49 WIN OVER BELL

Juniors Carl Brown and Devin Wilson combined for 33 points, 16 rebounds, five assists, and six steals.  Other scorers were: Tyler Courson 11; Travail Davis 6; Tyler Hagin and Sir Jackson 4; and Omali Tyson and Keith Kelsey 2. 

The JV also won, 70-19.

BLUE WAVE DOMINATE BRONSON IN 72-37 WIN

Senior Tyler Courson led the way with 28 points (5 3-point goals), seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals.  Junior point guard Devin Wilson added 13 points (4 3-points goals) , 8 rebounds, 6 steals, and 5 assists.  Also scoring for PK Yonge were: Carl Brown 9 (1 3-point goal); Tyler Hagin 6; Keith Kelsey and Sir Jackson 3; and Travail Davis, Zeke Hicks, Raleigh Rebstock, and Ryan Thombs each with 2.  Brown also had 5 assists. 

The Blue Wave improve their district record to 5-0, with an overall record of 9-5.  The Junior Varsity also bring home a win against Bronson, 62-45.

BLUE WAVE OUTPLAY BUCHHOLZ ON ROUTE TO 59-50 WIN

The Blue Wave were led by junior Devin Wilson 20 points  (2 3-pointers) and senior Tyler Courson 19 points (4 3-pointers).  Carl Brown was also in double figures with 11 points.  Other scorers were:  Keith Kelsey 4 points; Tyler Hagin and Omali Tyson 2 points; and Travail Davis 1 point.

BLUE WAVE END BRIGHT HOUSE SHOOTOUT WITH A BIG WIN

The Blue Wave went 2-1 in the Shootout, beating Mitchell High School 72-52 on Tuesday.  Junior Devin Wilson led his team with 20 points (5 3-point goals) and 9 assists.  He was also named to the all-tournament team.

Tyler Courson led all scorers with 26 (6 3-pointers), while Tyler Hagin led in the rebound category with 6.  Other scorers included: Carl Brown 12; Zeke Hicks and Omali Tyson with 4 each; and Hagin, Raleigh Rebstock, and Ed Porter with 2 each.

BLUE WAVE MOVE TO 1-1 FOLLOWING 2ND GAME OF BRIGHT HOUSE SHOOTOUT

The Blue Wave beat Eastlake High School (5A) 54-52 on Monday, following a Saturday loss to Gibbs High School (5A) 69-61.  Today is the final day of games which are being held at Clearwater High School.

BLUE WAVE PULL AWAY IN 4TH QUARTER TO BEAT CHIEFLAND 80-60

Juniors Carl Brown, 31 points, and Devin Wilson, 28 points (4, 3-point goals) led the Blue Wave.  Senior Tyler Courson also scored in double digits with 10, while leading the team in both rebounds (8) and assists (5).  Other scorers included: Tyler Hagin 6; Travail Davis and Sir Jackson 4; and Omali Tylson 2.

Tyler Courson led all scorers with 23, including 5 3-point goals.  Devin Wilson added 17 and lead in assists (4) and steals (4).  Other scorers were Carl Brown 9; and Keith Kelsey and Travail Davis each with 5.  Kelsey and Omali Tyson led in rebounds with 7 each.

The Blue Wave scored big and often in this district victory!  Scorers included Tyler Courson 21 (4 3-pointers); Travail Davis 15; Carl Brown 12 (1 3-pointer); Devin Wilson 11 (3 3-pointers); Zeke Hicks 11; Keith Kelsey 7;  Ryan Thombs 6; Sir Jackson 5; Omali Tyson 3; and Tyler Hagin and Raleigh Rebstock 2.  Kelsey led in rebounds with 7, while Wilson led in the assists category with 5.

Senior forward Tyler Courson scored a team-high 21 points (3, 3-pointers) and junior guard Carl Brown followed with 16 in the Blue Wave's 78-62 win over St. Francis.  Junior Tyler Hagin led in the rebound category with 9.  Other players scoring for the Blue Wave were Travail Davis 9 (1, 3-pointer); Devin Wilson 8 (2, 3-pointers); Hagin and Keith Kelsey 8; and Sir Jackson, Zeke Hicks, Ryan Thombs, and Omali Tyson each with 2.
