Who are the Pittsburgh Strikers?

The Pittsburgh Strikers are a prestigious, high-level, soccer club dedicated to improving the level of every one of our players since 1982. Our club is lead by highly qualified coaches. The Strikers have one of the most qualified coaching staffs of any soccer club in Western Pennsylvania. Three of our coaches hold the coveted United States Soccer Federation "A" License and one of our coaches holds the USSF "B" license. Another five of our coaches hold the USSF "D" license. Also, many of our coaches hold the NSCAA "National License" and "Advanced National License". Our coaching staff is made up of either current high school or college coaches or former high school and college coaches.  All of our coaches have also played at the collegiate level or higher.  If you want your child to be taught by a club that puts a high emphasis on qualified licensed coaches, there is none better than the Pittsburgh Strikers.

The Pittsburgh Strikers field both boys and girls teams in age groups from U12 to U18, as well as our Striker Soccer Academy Program which fields teams in the U9 to U11 age groups. Our entire club trains once a week in the winter at the Robert Morris Island Sports Center, located on Neville Island. During the fall our U9 - U14 teams compete in multiple leagues and tournaments and train twice a week. Then in the spring all of our teams compete in multiple leagues and tournaments and again train twice a week.

It is the desire of The Pittsburgh Strikers to attract the very best players from around the Pittsburgh area. We Feel confident we have the best staff to provide your child with the very best training. We concentrate on developing the players individual technical skills up and through U14 where we then emphasize their tactical skill development.
