Hurricanes Win : Force Decisive Game 3
2009.8.5.PNC2.web-Rafalski3
Player of the Game: Andy Rafalski
ROSS TWP, Pa - In a game that was closer than the final score would indicate, the Hurricanes pulled away with some strong hitting at the end of the game.

The Black Sox struck first scoring a run in the bottom of the second inning, but the Hurricanes quickly bounced take to take a 4-1 lead on some timely hitting by the bottom of their order.

The Black Sox would not be denied however, and tied it up by scoring three runs in the fourth, two on a wild pitch and throwing error.

The Hurricanes would take a 5-4 lead into the bottom of the 6th inning courtesy of a Milton Joyner triple. With two out and a man aboard in the bottom of the 6th, Chris Wagoner made a diving catch in centerfield to rob Matt Klayko of what could possibly have been a game tying hit.

The Hurricanes finally were able to force Jim Cannon from the ballgame in the top of the seventh inning and took a commanding 11-4 lead into the bottom of the inning. Andy Rafalski was able to complete the game to enable the series to become knotted at 1-1.

Final score: Hurricanes 11, Black Sox 4
