Matadors take Game 1 in Allegheny Championship 3-1
NORTH HILLS, PA - Dean Mosesso led the Matadors earning player of the game honors along the way by allowing only two hits as the Matadors defeated the Bulldogs 3-1.

Corey Yokel and Ron Neuhohr led the Matadors offense on a day where pitching dominated the tempo of the game. Bulldogs catcher Joe Graff committed two costly errors that allowed two unearned runs that ultimately proved to be the game. One run scored on a passed ball, while the the other scored when a attempt to throw Ryan Derbis out at third deflected off the batter's helmet into foul territory in shallow left field, allowing Derbis to score on the play.

The Matadors play host to the Bulldogs in Game 2 of the Allegheny Championship Series this upcoming Saturday at John Herb Field. Projected Starters: Corey Yokel, MAT vs. Doug Schreiber, BUL.
