PITTSBURGH, PA - The 2008 NABA schedule was officially released today and includes some changes from years past. Each team is scheduled to play 24 games, with 20 games guaranteed. Teams play each team within their division three times, while playing teams in the other division based on their record last year.
The playoffs will again start in the final week of July along with consolation games for teams that did not qualify for the playoffs, yet did not play 24 games due to weather or forfiets. All games will conclude by August 10th.
The annual All-Star Game is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, July 1st at John Herb Field. No games have been scheduled on July 2nd or July 3rd to allow for the possibility of rain, or site change.
No games have been schedule during Memorial Day weekend, to allow teams to travel to tournaments or simply enjoy their weekend. Individual teams may choose to schedule a game during that time through the league office, but no teams will be required to field a team that weekend.
