Pitch4heat Web site

Pitch4heat is dedicated to help improve girls fastpitch softball skills. This game isn't only about winning and losing, it is about building lasting relationships and friends, it is about doing things that you feel are beyond your capabilities and mastering them, it is about giving our girls the tools and confidence to handle what comes their way when they take our place in this big world. It takes a good loser to make a great winner.

Heart Deeper than Mind
The heart sings, and the mind talks.

The heart loves, and the mind thinks.
The heart moves us and the mind considers.
The heart desires and the mind finds a path.
The heart is tender and the mind protective.
The heart is innocent and the mind is deceptive.
The heart is a poem and the mind text.
The heart sings, and the mind talks.
-
George Norwood

"Don't wish for success, practice for success!!!"
"Todays preparation is tomorrow success!!!"

Three kinds of motivation
1.
Fear
2.
Incentive
3.
Growth

"
Participation or playing time is earned not
given!!"

If you understand what a TEAM is, have a great HEART, and have the right ATTITUDE, then go show it on the ball field.

Hitting at practice

You see, hitting is a lot more than a sweet swing.

Hitting is...

1) Reading cues and tracking the ball well

2) Making decisions (pitch selection)

3) Ajusting to various locations and moving pitches

4) Hitting according to the situation

5) The approach to the plate and the mental part of hitting

You see, if you only work on the swing, you are missing a bit part of the equation.

You have to integrate all of those other elements into your training in order to develop high-level hitting.

Having a "sweet swing" is a good start but you also have to see the ball, recognize what pitch it is and where it is going, decide if you will swing or not, make adjustments, and more.

Make your hitting training much more than just "swing"

training.

Hitting is the most important part of the game with pitching. You've got to work on it!

You will fail because you were never going to succeed!!!

You will succeed because you were never going to fail!!

Which one are you - either you got talent or you don't.  You had talent yesterday, you got it today and you will still have it tomorrow.... or you don't.  It might take a bit of hard work to get it out of you, but that's where practice, determination, and desire come to play.

Think, Believe, and Execute!!!!

LESSONS FROM THE ARK

EVERYTHING I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark...  the woodpecker might have to go!!!

1.   Don't miss the boat
2.   Remember that we are all in the same boat.
3.   Plan ahead.  It wasn't raining when Noah build the Ark.
4.   Stay Fit.  When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
5.   Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
6.   Build your future on high ground.
7.   For safety sake, travel in pairs.
8.   Speed isn't always an advantage.  The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
9.   When your stressed, float a while.
10.  Remember, the Ark was build by amateurs; the titanic by professionals.
11.  No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting.
