"The purpose of the YMCA Swim Team is to provide and promote wholesome instruction and competition for the members of the YMCA of McHenry County through the sport of swimming. We strive to achieve as a prime objective the molding of good, clean and trustworthy future citizens by implanting in children the ideals of good sportsmanship, loyalty, courage and reference; and to achieve as a secondary objective the development of swimming skills.

We plan to enable every child to gain from his or her experience, regardless of the order of finish. The total experience the program offers should be an enjoyable one. The program should proceed in a manner that will enhance and improve ones interest and respect for the sport." 

 

   

• 2009-2010 Swim season tryout dates: July 13 & July 27, 2009 at 6:00pm. All tryouts are done at the YMCA of McHenry County.
