Class of 2010

The Central Penn Piranha are proud to announce the Piranha Football Hall of Fame Class of 2010. They are as follows: Andy Breault (quarterback), Desi Washington (running back), Doug Seidenstricker (free safety), Roger Crosby (strong safety), and Harold Williams II (cornerback).

Andy Breault
“It’s an honor to be inducted into the Piranha Football Hall of Fame. It makes it even more special since I was there in the beginning when the Piranha got started (1995). I remember that our roster was comprised of very good Division 2 college football players from Pennsylvania (Kutztown University, Millersville University, West Chester University, etc.), and we more than held our own playing against teams that consisted predominantly of major Division 1 college players.”

Breault adds, “Playing football for the Central Penn Piranha was a lot of fun, and for guys like me that didn’t make it to the NFL, it gave us an opportunity to continue our football playing careers. I’ll always have those memories of Piranha football.”

Desi Washington
“Anytime you receive an individual honor in a team sport, it feels good. Words cannot describe my feeling of being inducted into the Piranha Football Hall of Fame.”

Washington remembers the beginning. “When I started with the Piranha in their first year, it was like a baby in its infancy stage. It’s a wonderful feeling to watch the Piranha grow and develop into a national power from 1995 to the present, and know that I was part of the foundation.”

Desi acknowledges many reasons for the success of Piranha football. “The success of the Central Penn Piranha can be credited to the ownership, coaches, and the deep talent pool in the Central Pennsylvania area. Texas, Florida, and California always get much-deserved credit for their football talent, but we (Piranha) were able to show everyone that the talented players from the Central PA area were just as good. I’m proud of Central Pennsylvania football.”

Harold Williams
“It's a humbling feeling being inducted into the Piranha Football Hall of Fame, similar to the one I had being the first Piranha player inducted into Minor League Football News Hall of Fame in 2008.”

Williams adds, “To be included in the same player group as previous inductees Steve Saunders, Dan McMunn, Roman Morris, Tom Porr, and Walter Bland doesn’t seem right. However, I know how hard I worked during the winter and spring months, and all of the blood, sweat, and tears that I have given to the Piranha organization, and what it has given back to me in return.”

The former, veteran cornerback concludes, “I want to thank the Central Penn Piranha organization for opening their arms to me back in 1999 and the years after that. A big thank you goes out to former team owners Steve Gerhart, Steve Saunders, and Jim Rovito. I also thank current owner Ron Kerr. Now, I really can say that I am a member of the Central Penn Piranha for life.”

Ron Kerr (Piranha Owner / Head Coach) is planning on honoring the new HOF members at one of the home games during the upcoming 2010 season.  The complete player bios will be posted on the website soon.
