Pipkin Tournament: Welcome

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual Ashlie Pipkin Memorial Tournament. I would also like to thank everyone who volunteered to help with everything.

Congratulations to all the champions in each age group. The tournament was a huge success. We will have some tournament photos uploaded soon.

"Camp Ashlie" will take place March 3-4, 2012. Please make plans to participate in this great event as well. Jessica Mendoza will be our special guest at the clinic and you don't want to miss out on meeting her and learning from her how to be a successful ball player. We will be having a dinner on Friday March 2nd and she will be speaking. There will also be a coaches/parents clinic on Saturday evening March 3rd. My daughter, Meagan Helms is a catcher for the Carolina Aftershock that played in the tournament this weekend. I wanted to tell you it was an honor for her to play in this tournament and she told me after the final game that out of all the trophies and tournaments she has won in the past that this was her most important one as it was for Ashley. I can say I will never look at my daughter playing catcher again in the same frame of mind as I will always think of Ashley when Meagan takes the field and know that a young lady I have never met before had such an impact on me and my daughter’s life. Thank you again for letting us be a part of this memorial and God bless.
