The next meeting of the Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority Board will be held Monday, June 11th at 7:00pm in the Board of Commissioners meeting room. 

The parks and recreation office will be closed for a furlough day on Friday, June 22nd.

Beginning in July, 2011 each full-time employee of the parks & recreation authority staff will take 12 furlough days. Some of these days will be taken on holidays, but the other days will be taken during the regular work week. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The furlough days are being taken due to budget cuts in the FY 2011/12 budget. Please click on Handouts for the list of furlough days.

Movie In The Park

The Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority is excited to announce our 2012 Summer Outdoor Movie Series schedule. Movies and dates are listed below. Movies will be shown on the lower football field at the Pike County Parks & Recreation Complex. Concessions will be open or bring a picnic along with your lawn chairs & blankets. Inflateables & pre-show music before the movie begins. To become a sponsor of the event please contact the recreation office at 770-567-2027.

Pike County Youth Basketball

Late registration for youth softball participants ages 4-18 is currently being held at the parks & recreation office. Registration will be held from 8:00am until 4:30pm Monday thru Friday. Registration fee is $110.00 per child with a $10.00 sibling discount. Out of County fee is $25.00 per out of county registrant. There is no late fee charge. Opening day is scheduled for Saturday, March 24th. Pike County Youth Soccer Association

Pike County Baseball Association  

Dawson Hammock, a youth baseball player, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. An account for the Benefit of Dawson Hammock has been established at United Bank in Zebulon. Donations can be made at any United Bank branch. The proceeds from the account will be given to Dawson's family during opening day ceremonies. Opening day is scheduled for Saturday, March 24th. Pike County Youth Football

Pike County Parks & Recreation Authority will be holding registration for ages 5-14 on Saturdays, July 7th and July 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m @ the PCPRA Offices - 135 Twin Oaks Rd Williamson, GA 30292. Registration will  also be taken (M - F) starting Monday, June 25th  through Friday, July 13th from 8:00am - 4:00pm at the recreation office. The fee is $125.00 per player with a $10.00 sibling discount. The out of county fee is $25.00 per each out of county participant. The fee includes use of helmet w/chin strap, shoulder pads and game pants.  The game jersey is included in the fee and will be kept by the players. Parents will need to provide practice jersey & pants,  pants pads, cleats and any accessory items. Each age division will play tackle football and participate in the Southern Recreation Football Conference. The NEW age cutoff date is players age on July 31st and you will need to provide a copy of your child's birth certificate to participate in the league. Coaches must register through the recreation office by July 6th. Pike County Cheerleading Association

Registration for ages 5-12 will be held Tuesday, May 15th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm, Saturday, May 19th from 10:00am - 2:00pm and Saturday, June 9th from 10:00am - 1:00pm at Christ Chapel Church. The registration fee is $160.00. Out of County fee is $25.00 per out of county registrant. Shelter Rental

PCPRA has several shelters/pavilions that can be reserved for parties, reunions, etc. For more information on how to reserve a shelter or our rates contact the parks & recreation office at 770-567-2027.
