Bob Parry - Head Coach
Coach Parry began his baseball career at Mt. Carmel, where he played on the 1982 C.I.F. Championship Team under Sam Blalock. After red-shirting with a broken finger in 1983, he played for Bob Vetter at Palomar College in 1984 and 1985. He was named to the "All Conference Team" both years, and the "All Regional Team" in 1985. He set numerous offensive records while at Palomar. He went on to SDSU on a scholarship. In 1986 Coach Parry was named to the "All WAC Conference Team" and was the San Diego Hall of Champions' Player of the Month in May. The 1986 SDSU team earned a berth to the regional championships, where they lost to the college world series champions, University of Arizona. In 1987 Coach Parry was SDSU's "Most Valuable Player". He was also named to the "All WAC Conference Team", "All Regional Team", and was voted as an UPI "All American". He set, and holds, the record for the highest batting record (.418) at SDSU. Coach Parry signed with the Oakland A's in 1987 and played five years in the minor leagues. He began coaching in 1992 as the freshman coach at Rancho Bernardo and was the varsity hitting coach there in 1993 and 1994. He then decided to go to a real school and took the head coaching job here at PHS in 1995.

John Valles - Varsity Infield Coach
Coach Valles has been coaching baseball and football for the Poway Unified School District for 34 years. He taught math at Black Mountain Middle School, Poway and Rancho Bernardo High Schools. He has now retired from teaching.
Kyle Zeis - Varsity Pitching Coach
Coach Kyle Zeis was born in San Diego and played for Torrey Pines. He played college ball for Dartmouth and served as their closer for most of his career. This is Zeis' third year coaching high school baseball and his first at the Varsity level. He was the head JV coach for Westview in 2010 and the head JV coach for Scripps Ranch in 2011. Coach Zeis is a math teacher here at Poway High.

Jason Brunansky - Varsity Outfield Coach
Coach Bruno was born in San Diego to Tom and Colleen Brunansky. He played centerfield for the Poway High Titans and was a participant in two CIF championship victories (2006 and 2008). He later played four years at the collegiate level for the University of Kansas Jayhawks before returning home to pursue his aspirations of becoming a coach. He's working towards his degree in Economics. This is his third year working as the Outfield Coach for Bob Parry. Jason has plans to enroll in the San Diego Sheriff's Department in the near future.
Derek Hasenbeck - JV Assistant Coach
Coach Derek graduated from Poway High School in 2011 where he played Varsity his Junior and Senior years. He graduated from Xavier University in 2015 with a degree in Business Marketing. He was a four-year starter at Xavier, playing first, third, catcher and DH, and made it to the 2014 Vanderbilt Regional. Derek is still pursuing his baseball career and will be heading out to St. Louis at the end of April to play with the Gateway Grizzlies in the Frontier League (Independent League).
Andy Martin - JV Head Coach
A 2008 graduate of Point Loma High School with two years on Varsity, Coach Martin served as team captain his senior year and was selected Second Team All Western League. He was recruited by many colleges including University of Portland, Cal Lutheran University, US Coast Guard Academy, PLNU, Benedictine College, US Merchant Marine Academy. He was a 4 year starter at the United States Merchant Marine Academy where he played 7 of 9 positions including OF, INF, P and C. He served as team caption both Junior and Senior Seasons, was voted Team MVP Sophomore and Senior seasons, and voted Landmark Conference 2nd Team and All New York Region 3rd Team (2012). After graduating in 2012, Coach Martin went on to play professional independent baseball and was a pitcher for the Prescott Montezuma Federals of the Freedom Professional Baseball League (2013). He was the Freshman coach at Point Loma High School 2014 and 2015.
During the off season, Coach Martin is a licensed marine engineer and sails on container ships out of Honolulu. He is also a LTJG in the Naval Reserve.
Nick Carmichael - JV Assistant Coach
Dean Weese - Frosh Head Coach
Coach Weese played in the St. Louis Cardinal organization as a RHP from 1987-1991 in their minor league system. He was the Varsity pitching coach at Mt. Carmel from 1995-2002 where they won back to back CIF titles in 95 and 96. Dean is in his 21st year working as a special education teacher for PUSD at Abraxas High School, and has been our Freshman head coach since 2014 where he is extremely happy to have the chance to work with our freshmen players.
