TITANS IN THE NEWS
We are a team filled with players of great character. You can read about two of them in recent publications.
There is an article about Connor Joe in the Poway Patch discussing his involvement with the Operation for HOPE Foundation and a charity softball event that he organized for them.
Chad Etchison is featured in the premier issue of 92064 magazine. They contacted Chad after hearing about the baseball clinic that he held at a Tijuana orphanage.

SILVER BAT AWARD
Connor Joe was honored with the 5th Annual Silver Bat Award. This award was started by Woody Woodaman in 1994. He kept stats in several different offensive categories and awarded the Silver Bat accordingly. The last time the bat was awarded was in 1997. The recipient of that award, Matt Schmidt, with his brother Adam, of Poway General Insurance Agency, and Woody's son, Ryan Woodaman, of Brain Storm Research and Consulting, along with their respective companies, decided that they would like to bring this honor back. How special is it that alumni return to bring back traditions!

Last year's CIF Champion Titans (2008) were ranked #7 out of 10 in the North County Times "North County's Greatest Teams. The 1982 Mt. Carmel team, starring outfielder Bob Parry, ranked #5.
