GLENDALE — Parkersburg High School’s girls basketball team fell to 2-5 here Friday night as the Big Reds dropped the consolation game of the John Marshall Holiday Classic to Bridgeport.

The Big Reds led 11-8 after the first quarter but Bridgeport grabbed a 22-18 halftime lead and gradually pulled away.

Kim Dent led the Big Reds with 18 points while Kasie Carbacio had 17, Heidi Bastin 15 and Kaitlin Bishop 12 for Bridgeport.

The Big Reds travel to South Charleston next Friday.
