GLENVILLE — Top-ranked Buckhannon-Upshur turned a close 15-13 game after one quarter into a 65-38 win over No. 2 Parkersburg in the Class AAA championship finals of the IOGA Tournament Saturday night at Glenville State College.

The Bucs, now 4-0, outdistanced the Big Reds (4-1) from the second quarter on — 21-7 in second, 16-9 in the third and 13-9 in the fourth.

Buckhannon was led in scoring by Hanna McClung with 26 points and Lauren Bennett with 18, while PHS was paced by Shay-Lee Kirby with 15 points and Madi Mace with six.

PHS next plays at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Fieldhouse versus visiting George Washington.
