Fénix Player of the Week - April 13, 2008
Name: Andrea Loh
Position: Forward/Midfielder/Defender
Years in club: 2001-present
What teams have you played for during your club career?
Only Phoenix/Fenix.
What brought you to Fènix?
I started at U-11 in Phoenix White. At U-12 I was invited to join Phoenix Red. I have continued to the present with Fenix Red because I really like my teammates and the coaches.
What are your college aspirations?
I will be attending Occidental, playing soccer and studying pre-law.
What has been your most memorable soccer moment?
My most memorable time was playing at the Surf Cup during Thanksgiving 2005. We did really well in the tournament and we beat top teams in the nation.
Who is your favorite college or professional soccer player and why?
I watch Husky soccer games and professional soccer teams on cable TV (channel 401), but I don’t have a favorite player.
What has your youth soccer experience meant to you?
It has meant a lot to me. I love playing soccer and I enjoy playing against challenging opponents to strengthen my own skill level. I also love my soccer teammates, and I don’t think I could survive without them.
What are your favorite activities outside of playing soccer?
I like playing ultimate frisbee, skiing, snow boarding, and reading.
What advice would you like to give to younger players?
Always try your best and never give up. Also, play just as hard in practice as in games, because the intensity will transfer and you will end up playing better in games.
