2014 Greeting From Coach P

Dear Paradise Hills Little League Families,

Welcome to the 2014 season of Paradise Hills Little League! We are so pleased that you have chosen to spend your spring with us. Our goal is to teach children the games of softball and baseball in a safe and fun environment within an atmosphere of healthy competition and good sportsmanship. Hundreds of dedicated volunteers work to make this happen. We hope you’ll join them and become a PHLL volunteer! Our goal with the 2014 handbook was to create an information guide to help parents become acquainted with PHLL procedures. Please read through the handbook at your leisure (PHLL Forms and Documents) and refer to it throughout the season. If you have any questions or need more information about any aspect of our Little League please contact me at the email address listed below. Once again, we thank you for participating in PHLL Little League. There’s nothing like a Spring Saturday afternoon at the ball fields. We’ll see you there!

2014 Parking At PHLL

Parents and Coaches,

Please utilize the parking spaces in our 2 main parking lots and the overflow parking lot. Please DO NOT park along the sides of the access road that leads from the overflow parking lot to the main parking lot. We had trouble last year with that access road being blocked. This access road would be used by emergency vehicles in the event of a serious medical event on the Tee Ball Field. If cars are blocking this access point it would keep medical personnel from getting help to that location. In addition, parking along the access road has blocked cars trying to exit the overflow parking area.

Same thing for the main parking lot along the new major field fence with the curbs painted red. This area is for emergency/police/sheriff parking only. In the future, PHLL staff on duty have been authorized to tow vehicles parked in these two areas. Thank you in advance for not parking along this access road and emergency parking row.

New Fields Update!


We finally have a construction company in place and they are ready to break ground on Monday June 17th! We are excited that the bids came in very competitively and it appears we will have turf infields on one or both of the New Rookie and Minor/Major Fields!! The fields will likely be finished around October after the completion of the Fall Ball Season and ready for the spring 2014 Season. I want to thank Councilor Dan Lewis who worked very hard to get the Bond Money appropriated for this Project. I also want to thank State Representative Tom Anderson and State Senator Sander Rue for appropriating the additional state funds to make this project truly possible. I want to thank Gary Purcella for his leadership and tireless dedication to this project from start to finish, making sure we saw this day come to pass. I want to also thank Colin Campbell for using his architectural background and expertise which helped translate the desires of the PHLL Board and Parents into reality. The many, many meetings attended by Colin, Gary and myself to make sure this project was done to fit the needs of the Paradise Hills Little League Community; thank you guys for being there.

Lastly, I want to thank all the Past and Present Board Members, PHLL Managers, Coaches, Players and Parents for their patience with our lack of field space over the years. So many sacrifices were asked of coaches at PHLL and that has not gone unnoticed. I am excited to see these fields put into service in the spring of 2014 and we will make our bid to host the Minor or Major All Star Tournaments for the summer of 2014.

The Annual PHLL General Membership Meeting and Patrick's State of the League Message

On Friday, June 15, 2012, Patrick gave the State of the League Message. League Treasurer, Karyn White gave the league's financial health measage and Site Coordinator, Colin Campbell gave us an update on the new fields and the projected start of construction. Nominations for the 2012-2013 board of directors were made and voted on and the 2012 All Stars were announced. Please click on the Handout button for Pat's synopsis of the state of the league.
