The Philly Heat 16 and Under defeated the Warriors 75-65 to capture the Langley Park Boys and Girls Club Classic at Langley Park Maryland. The Heat completed the weekend undefeated by winning their three pool play games by an average of 22 points.

In the title game Khalief Trawick scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to earn MVP honors. Marcus Grimes, Brandon Wesley, Harold Hicks and Jon "Juice" Williams all scored in double figures. Marque Griffin was the defensive stopper, grabbibng five steals and guarding the tourney's high scorer, Greg Wilson.

In the pool play games, Philly rolled 81-45 over the Langley Park 16 and Under, 74-63 over the Langley Park 19 and Under and 77-56 versus the Stars. Antwan Miller had his biggest game versus 6'9" Shawn Taylor of Langley Park. He scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Forward Brandon Wesley also came up big versus Langley's size. He had a team high 27 points and nine rebounds. D.L. Lawrence burned the Stars, when he scored 16 points and handed out five assists. Norman McNair had 10 points against the Langley 16's.
