The Answers:
Who runs the Pewaukee Soccer Club?PSC is run and staffed entirely by parent volunteers. This includes the coaches. For volunteer opportunities, please click on the "Volunteer" tab.
Practices start in late August or early September. Games start the weekend after Labor Day and generally go until the third week of October. Practices resume in the spring in April. Games begin the second week of April and go until the first Saturday in June.
U-5: one hour of practice a week, no games
U-6 through U-8: one hour of practice a week, games on Saturday at Wagner Park.
U-9 through U-12: 2 practices/week, games on Saturday. About half of the games are away games, but still within Waukesha County.
U means under the specific age level at that time of registration. i.e. 5 going on 5 would be U6 player.
Which U-level is my child?
Please note that the age eligibility chart is set by Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association not PSC. Please use the chart below for the 2009 - 2010 seasons:
U14
8-1-95 & 7-31-96 U13 8-1-96 & 7-31-97 U12 8-1-97 & 7-31-98 U11 8-1-98 & 7-31-99 U10 8-1-99 & 7-31-00 U9 8-1-00 & 7-31-01 U8 8-1-01 & 7-31-02 U7 8-1-02 & 7-31-03 U6 8-1-03 & 7-31-04 U5 8-1-04 & 7-31-05
PSC encourages players to play with their peers however player may request to play up “only” in situations where their grade supersedes their age.
What if my child age falls in an age bracket that is not their grade level?
Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Rule on Playing Down: Competitive teams (from Premier, 1st Division and Classic divisions) may not accept any players who are playing down. Youth Recreational teams are limited to accepting a total of 2 overage players. Pewaukee Soccer Club does not allow playing down at any level due to the number of requests that outweighs the number allowed per age bracket.
We use most of the parks in Pewaukee. Coaches choose practice times and days depending on their own schedules and the availability of practice fields. Unfortunately, there is no way to know ahead of time when your team will be practicing.
What does my child need to play soccer?
Shin guards (required), shoes with cleats (highly recommended), mouthguard (optional), and a great attitude!
Please click on the “Registration” tab on the home page for a fee schedule.
Please click on the “Registration” tab on the home page for instructions.
What does my registration fee pay for?
Uniform, park fees, referees, coach training and certification, player development, WYSA fees, and paperwork.
Everyone has busy lives. This is your incentive to contribute volunteer time to the club. If you spend four hours volunteering, your fee will be returned. If you’re too busy, we understand. You may opt not to volunteer and the fee will not be returned.
What if I only want to sign up for fall?
We strongly discourage this, as it may leave teams with too few players in the spring.
What if I only want to sign up for spring?
Please come back to this site in January. Any open spots will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
I signed up but haven’t heard from my coach yet, and I’ve heard that other teams are practicing. What do I do?
Email the Registrar, Cari Wallenfang at pewaukeesoccer@gmail.com
Where can I find directions to our away games?
Click on the “Field locations” tab.
PSC does not organize any indoor soccer programs. Indoor soccer is played at the Brookfield Indoor Soccer club on an ad hoc basis. Some coaches and/or parents decide on their own to form indoor soccer teams to keep their players’ skills sharp. Ask your coach for further information.
My child wants to play academy. How do I register?
Please click on the “Academy Soccer” tab for more information.
My child wants to try out for a select team. How do I register?
Online registration for select soccer is not currently available. Tryouts are held in June. Click on the “Pewaukee Select Soccer” tab for more information. Players who do not make the select team are welcome to play on a recreational team.
If you're interested in volunteering, please contact volunteer coordinator listed on the website under volunteers or email pewaukeesoccer@gmail.com and let us know what you would like to help with. We have a huge need for volunteers so please help out and volunteer.
