Pewaukee Soccer Club: 2009 Fall Fun Rec Divisions

U12 Recreational Division - Boys and Girls
U12 Girls and U12 Boys Division (ages 11-12) teams can be co-ed, but most likely will be all boys or all girls. Teams practice two days a week for a total of 3&1/2 hours. The practice days and time is determined by the coach. Most games will be played on Saturday's with a few during the week and they will be played at Wagner Park or at the other teams park, usually within 20 miles of Wagner. The 8 v 8 format which is 7 players plus a goal keeper. and offside is called. Game time is 2 – 30 minute halves. Ball size #4 is used. Games will have referees and assistant referee's at some fields.

Academy Teams
This program provides a higher level of competition and training for players aged 7-10 (U8 through U10) who have demonstrated the ability, skill development, desire and commitment to play soccer at an advanced level. Academy teams are formed solely on skills, ability and desire of the child with those players evaluated highest placed on the Academy team for that age group. Academy teams participate in competitive practices and league play, play in multiple tournaments. The Academy teams require additional commitment of both players and parents.

U5 Division - It's a "Ball"
U5 (age 4-5) practice for a ½ hour and play a game for ½ hour on Wednesday evenings. The 3 v 3 format is played, ball size #3 is used. This program is designed for the child who has not played on a team before. The rules of the game are introduced. Fundamentals of the games such as dribbling, passing and kicking are presented. Parent involvement is highly recommended since kids at this age may need some encouragement and motivation.

U6 Divison
U6 (ages 5 – 6) co-ed teams practice one day a week for an hour. The practice day and time is determined by the coach. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Wagner Park. The 3 v 3 format is played. There is no goal keeper and no goal camping. Game time is 4 – 8 minute quarters. New this season the coaches will try to referee and end lines will be loose, coaches willthrow in a ball as soon as one goes out of bounds. Ball size #3 is used.

U7 Division
U7 (ages 6-7) co-ed teams practice one day a week for an hour. The practice day and time is determined by the coach. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Wagner Park. The 4 v 4 format is played. There is no goal keeper and no goal camping allowed. Game time is 4 – 10 minute quarters. Ball size #3 is used.

U8 Division
U8 (ages 7-8) co-ed teams practice one day a week for an hour. The practice day and time is determined by the coach. Games will be played on Saturday mornings at Wagner Park. The 4 v 4 format is played. There is no goal keeper and no goal camping allowed. Game time is 4 – 12 minute quarters. Ball size #3 is used.

U9/U10 Boys and Girls Division

The 6 v 6 format which is 5 players plus a goal keeper. and no offside is called. Game time is 2 – 25 minute halves. Ball size #4 is used. Games will have referees and assistant referee's at some fields.
