By now, all of us know where we need to park and access the fields at PNLL. One would think that, by now, we would all be on board with where we need to park and be adjusting to that requirement. Most of us have been doing a great job. However, not everyone has been following the rules that the league agreed to follow in order to get our fields built at PJHS.
Reasons NOT to drop-off, pick-up or park on Webster Street and surrounding neighborhood streets:
1) It angers the neighbors and we want to be good neighbors at our new PJHS facility for decades to come.
2) It's in our use agreement that the league will enforce the NO PARKING rules.
3) As Petaluma is a small town, everyone knows everyone else. That's ussually a great thing. Inthis case though, when the parking rules aren't followed, we get calls from our friends who live in the Webster Street and surrounding areas asking us why the rules aren't being followed. As you can imagine, this can be exhausting and test friendships that have been in existance for years.
4) PNLL is an ALL volunteer run organization. Our volunteers are already stretched thin with their assigned tasks. Having to add "Parking Enforcement" to our required tasks spreading our volunteers even thinner just takes away from what these hard working folks should be doing. Reminding folks where they need to park may mean that hotdogs don't get cooked, we run out of chalk, website updates fall behind, fields don't get maintained.
We understand how much easier it is to access the fields from Webster. Please keep in mind, it's only easier for the person dropping the player off or picking them up. Doing so makes life harder for the league and those who work hard to make sure it can function.
The league is asking that all of you help us in enforcing the parking rules. We can't be out there every minute of the day making sure folks are following the rules. If you see someone parking on Webster or the surrounding neighborhood, please give them a friendly reminder that it's not how us folks at PNLL access our new fields.

Petaluma City Schools has asked us to inform our Managers that there will be no practicing at school fields if there has been any rain on that day. Please stay off the school fields during rainy periods.

Effective immediately, Little League International has banned the use of the Nike Aero CXT-BTO636 bats in all levels of Little League play. These bats aren't incredibly popular, but can no longer be used at PNLL. For pictures of the bats that have been banned, please visit THIS LINK.

I'm sure you've heard some talk of this already and you're about to hear a great deal more. Our use agreement with Petaluma City Schools includes a provision that the league will not allow parking or field access from or through the neighborhoods around our new field. Some folks might think the parking restrictions were for opening day only. That is not the case. These restrictions are permanent. Field access and parking is from the upper Junior High lots only.
PLEASE help the league by spreading the word that we all need to park, drop-off and pick-up at the Junior High parking lots. Access to the fields from Webster should be by pedestrians or bike riders only.
NO PARKING, DROP-OFF OR PICK-UP ON WEBSTER OR SURROUNDING STREETS!!!
