PINKY'S PIZZA TAKES SECOND PLACE IN JUNIOR DIVISION CITY CHAMPIONSHIP
Pinky's Pizza came up just short tonight against an undefeated Valley junior division team, taking them to extra innings, but succumbing in the bottom of the eighth inning.  It was another exciting game played by Pinky's, and again, they left everything on the field.  They earned a hard-fought second place finish in the Junior Division City Championship.

ELKS WIN CITY MAJOR DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP
Elks win tourney

Behind the unbelievable pitching of Dominic Soares, Petaluma National's Elks won the Petaluma City Major Division Championship, besting Valley's Bank of Marin 7 to 3. Dominic threw 5 and 2/3 innings yielding only 3 hits and recording 11 strikeouts.  He was backed up by a terrific offense anchored by Eric Parnow who led the game off with a solo home run to left-center and went 2-2 with a double as well.  Greg Thomas and Joe Wertz were both 2-3 with Wertz recording a double and two RBI.  The Elks played solid defense and were smart on the basepaths.  It was Little League at its finest, and the City Championship flag will fly proudly over Carter Field next year.
