Melissa Hits 1000th Career Point !
It was four years in the making. Point Guard and shooting guard Melissa hit her 1000th point at the Catonsville Game on Friday Feb. 9th. The stands were oohing and ahhing on every shot they took not knowing when the 1000th point would come. It came on the very first basket she scored. A leather ball presented by the team and signed by the team was given to Melissa.

On Monday, at the opening of the last home league game, Athletic Director gave Melissa a game ball with a photo of Melissa's team and Melissa. It was inscribed with the month, year and the amount of points.

Outstanding job - Mel

Perry Hall HS JV Has Won the Baltimore County Championship
The girls JV team defeated Milford Mills tonight in a 1 point game.

The unbelievable finish occured when the Millers called time out while up by 1 point and with 10 seconds remaining.

While inbounding the ball the Millers turned the ball over. Then PH had to inbound the ball.

Once PH inbounded the ball a miller fouled the girl in the backcourt with .03 remaining on the clock.

As Perry Hall HS "tu" Shay went to the foul line - she had 2 foul shots to attempt since both teams were in the double bonus. "Tu" Shay sunk both foul shots to not only tie the game but win the game for her coach. Coach Fischer was impressed with her teams ability to stay focused on the win thru such tough circumstances.

The Millers then took the ball out of bounds and attempted a shot from 1/2 court.

Great game by both teams but congratulations to the Perry Hall JV Girls Basketball Team and their coach. The one point nail biter was exciting from start to finish.

The rebounding by both ballside and weakside forwards was the difference in the game.

Also the foul shots made down the line at the end of the game made a difference for Perry Hall as it crept the score up.

Both teams were talented.

Congratulations to the team and the coach!

Monday, May 8
Silver Bullet 15 and 12 represent in Pa.
This past weekend the Silver Bullet teams played 4 tournament games in Pa. The hour drive through farm country was gorgeous. It was exciting to see the players work together rotating to steal the ball and begin that fastbreak. Many times the rebounds by Morgan, Kelsey, Stacey, Chevel, Erika, Angela were pivoted strong so that the Silver Bullets could score off those fast breaks.

Exciting moments came when the score was within reach and Annie hit the outside shot prior to getting knocked down. Or Shea drove the middle of the key to put up the shot.

The next tournament will be in 2 weeks as both teams will celebrate Mother's Day this weekend. So spoil your parents because they give up each weekend so you can play ball.

Sasha from Joppatowne and Silver Bullets Chosen in Pre Season Poll
Congratulations to Sasha for being nominated as one of the Maryland Area's premier players this season. Great passing, ballhandling and stepping up when her teammates need her are the qualities that got her there. Enjoy the season.
