2009-2010 PEORIA YOUTH HOCKEY REGISTRATION

Please note, ALL players AND coaches MUST register online with USA hockey BEFORE registering with PYHA.  The fee to register with USA Hockey and AHAI is $43, in the past this was paid on your behalf by PYHA.  This option is no longer available, all participants must register themselves online.

A Step by Step guide to Online Registration
Online registration for the 2009-10 season is available now

1. Go to www.usahockey.com and click on the “register, online” button.
2. Choose member type Ice Player/Coach.
3. You must be 18 years of age to process a registration…. Check the box that acknowledges that YOU are 18 or older.
4. Select the correct season – 2009-10.
5. Follow the prompts…fill in all data correctly.
6. Process payment – Visa, Master Card, Discover or American Express (credit or debit card). A Visa gift card will also work.
7. You may print your Confirmation page at this time. It will also be emailed to you immediately after the registration is completed.

PYHA Registration -

Please note for house participants you will be asked to indicate nights that you are able to play, this is intended to help players who may not be available all nights of the week, every effort will be made to fulfill requests, but please try not to eliminate any more than one night per week. Traditionally, house leagues have played on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, although this is not 100% guaranteed until ice is allocated by the Owens Center, so please be as flexible as possible!

Any players requesting a change in age group may register for the correct age grouping and then mail Becky Reeser on jbreeser9@aol for further information and instructions.

How does online registration benefit you??

The time involved in registering online is much shorter online than on paper, it took less than 10 minutes to register three players! Also there is a lot less paper involved in the process, yo do not even have to print your USA Hockey registration page!!

You can also register at the Owen Center on Lake Ave, Peoria on Saturday August 22nd at 10:00am to 4:00pm.

Requirements for Registration  
-  USHA Hockey barcode receipt 
- Copy of birth certificate   
-  Non US citizens must bring proof if residency i.e. copy of green card or visa for parent and child  
- Health insurance information  
- Coaches bring your coaching card and insurance info
-  Check made out to Peoria Youth Hockey for $400 

Registration fee for players is $400 

Limited scholarships are available for both House and Travel League players, please see Conny Ort (Treasurer) for details of the programs.

Scholarship applicants must pay $ 150.00 at time of registration. 
   
REGISTRATION FEES

Mini-Mite (Learn-To-Skate) Fees

Fees for Mini-Mites (age 6 & under) for 2009-2010 are $89 due in one payment at registration, August 22nd. 

House League Fees
Fees for House League Participants for 2009-2010 are $400 Parents who register one child in the House League program will have the option to make payments in two installments. The first half due on registration and the second installment due no later than November 15, 2009. Parents who register two or more children in the House League program will have the option to make payment in three installments. The first installment for EACH child is due at registration. The second installment for EACH child is due no later than November 15, 2009. The third and final installment for EACH child is due no later than January 17, 2010.  

Travel Team Fees
Fees for Travel Team candidates for 2009-2010 are $400, due in one payment at registration. Note: travel players are also responsible for their fractional percentageof ice practice and playing, referee fees, coaching expenses, coaching registration fees, NIHL CSDHL or CIHL team fees, coaches travel expenses under the policies, tournament fees, and similar expenses, usually billed monthly. The full amount of registration fee will be applied to the house program if you are not selected for a travel team. If you choose NOT to play for PYHA after registration, you may be entitled to a refund pursuant to the policies. Details provided in the registration form and policies. 

Registration fees paid after September 20, 2009 will incur an additional $25.00 processing fee. This $25.00 fee will be added to all first installments.

TRY OUT FEES AND REGISTRATION.

  PYHA have a try out fee of $75 to encourage players from outside our usual membership to take part in our program.   This is how it works.
  1. Player pays $75 and is then accepted into a travel team.
When the team is announced the player will be required to attend a meeting where $40 of the tryout fee will be applied to the registration fees, they will pay the balance of $360 due to PYHA, sign the roster and the travel team documentation.  The total payment will be $435. 
  1.  Player pays the fee and does not make a travel team.
      The player can move to the house league and will pay the balance of the fee, the tryout fee will be applied to the registration fee.    Total payment $435.      The player chooses not to play hockey with PYHA and no further action is necessary (cost of tryout $75.) 3. Player pays full fee and plays for PYHA. The player will play Travel if they are selected or move to House. This is the best option if you know that you want to play hockey with PYHA at whatever level, it saves you $35.  Total cost $400.

  PLEASE NOTE, TO BE ELIGIBLE TO TAKE PART IN TRYOUTS YOU MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE 9/1/09. THERE WILL BE NO OFFICIAL REGISTRATION IMMEDIATELY  BEFORE TRYOUTS, PLEASE SIGN UP EARLY.  

NO PLAYER WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE ICE AFTER 8/31/09 IF THEY HAVE NOT REGISTERED FOR THE 2009-10 SEASON. 

Coaching
PYHA Is Accepting Coaching Application for 2009-2010.  Coaches must register online with USA Hockey and bring in the bar-coded receipt to register.  Once placed on a team, Coaches will be reimbursed for their fees of $43 by PYHA.
