Welcome to the Penn Soccer Academy
MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR:
2009 marks the ninth year of our premier summer soccer camps for girls and boys. Our mission is simple; provide every player with an unforgettable soccer experience that takes them to a new level. I have thoroughly enjoyed our summers working with soccer players who are striving to get to the next level of competition. Our curriculums are designed to push each player to reach their maximum potential. We offer several camps that cater to all levels of player development, from the college bound athlete to the recreational player, and we strive every year to make each session better. I believe our campers deserve that from me and our staff. It is also why our camps have an extraordinary rate of return campers every year and sell out each summer.
How do we get there? Two reasons. First is our staff. 80% of our coaches are collegiate Head Coaches. All are licensed, professional coaches. All are passionate about the game and understand how to teach aspiring players. At our residential camps, our innovative methods include training players by position during the week, conducting daily speed and agility sessions, Yoga ( to increase flexibility) and exposing campers to several off-the-field discussions about the psychology of the game, sensible nutrition for athletes and a college recruiting seminar (at our college academy). College players from Penn and many other collegiate programs are a part of our staff as a resource for the campers. Secondly is our curriculum. The primary focus will be on technical application. We believe technique is the foundation of all success and will dedicate specific training in specific areas such as:
- Passing/Receiving/Turning
- Flighted/Driven/Bending balls
- Techniques
- Dribbling
- Taking players on 1v1
- Team Tactics
- Small group tactics
I hope we get the opportunity to show you why our camp program has become so popular among competitive players from all over the country. Our philosophy is to teach the game, to enjoy the game and to respect the game. Our goal is that every player leave our camp with a feeling of accomplishment, a better understanding of the game, and an intensified passion for soccer. We look forward to not only working with you this summer but also to providing you with the ultimate camp experience! If you are seeking a camp to challenge you, this is the place for you. You will not be disappointed.
